Among nature’s great patterns and playthings, marble is a true marvel. While the material itself might be a bit too heavy for a keycap set, the style is something we’ve always wanted to implement. For our latest DCX keycap set—and our first ever made from PBT—we finally got the green light. So, naturally, we started things off with a green look. Meet DCX Green Marble: the first installment in a bag of marbles to come. Like a favorite from your childhood collection, these keycaps shine with one-of-one unique marbling and intricate details, thanks in part to doubleshot legends injected within exacting tolerances of nearly 0.05 millimeters. Community inspired, our exclusive DCX profile features a subtly sculpted top with a gently cylindrical shape that’s both familiar and undeniably unique. The profile itself is on the shorter side, but the caps are among the heaviest at their size, delivering a sturdy feel with steadfast durability. From modern countertops to millenia-old artifacts, marble has shown its mettle as a durable material. For DCX Green Marble, we tried to approximate that durability with one of the strongest plastics in the keycap world: PBT. Short for polybutylene terephthalate, PBT is harder than ABS and resilient to both warping and shining. On DCX Green Marble, it’s also outfitted with doubleshot legends—which means that it's layered twice, with the bottom layer bearing the color of the legend and reaching the top only where the legend is placed. This all but eliminates the possibility of legends fading over time, as they’re firmly rooted into the interior of the keycaps and made with the same PBT plastic as the keycaps themselves. Completing the build, each DCX Green Marble set features a one-of-one marbling pattern that makes it truly unique—like any great work of marble art.

Sporting a brand-new profile and a bar-raising build, DCX keycaps deliver a truly exceptional typing experience, down to the finest details. After the success of MT3, we set out to make a new keycap with an even higher standard of quality—and we left no stone unturned; or untyped. Taking over 2 years to refine our design, strengthen our manufacturing, and gather input from our community, we created a shorter, subtly sculpted keycap worthy of any endgame keyboard. The embodiment of our newest, most exacting build processes, these DCX keycaps are made from PBT material that’s neither shiny nor hollow-sounding. For a truly blemish-free look that lasts, each keycap’s sprue mark is located on its interior (rather than on a finished side, like many caps). Look closely at the doubleshot legends, and you’ll find next to no flaws there either, since each one is injected within precise tolerances of nearly 0.05 millimeters. Plus, all DCX sets feature carefully considered design principles, including symmetrical vertical margins, consistent left-side legend alignment for all rows, and extensive Base Kit compatibility.
