I'd be happy to jump on this and buy it but since I have the CTRL and sadly, the CTRL failed me when it started double and triple typing some characters, I am worried that the same will start here as well... Can someone reassure me with some technical facts that this model is not going to treat me the same way 1-2 months after the warranty is over...?

RiValTineI’m guessing there was ESD involved. You’ll need a micrometer and a good YouTube tutorial to diagnose the issue.
edit: alternatively, you could look for PCB’s to replace yours. Hiney might have something.

RiValTineJust throwing this out there, I've had switches chatter on me before. Try replacing the switches that chatter, being hotswap should be relatively easy.
