My ENTR the LEDs have 4 brightness levels. Five if you count "off". So, yes to both.

I can't seem to find the right key combo for dimming the backlight. Is there a way to dim the backlight if you are using a Mac?

Shouldn't have anything to do with operating system. Try holding the "code" or "windows" key to the right of the space bar and hitting the up/down arrows.
