Good Looks, But Didn't Work
I really did want to like this watch, but it ended up being a disappointment. I ordered a Felix with a clear caseback, canvas strap and the STP1-11 movement. I quite like the design of the watch, and I am generally fond of the field watch aesthetic for day to day wear. The fact that the watch is somewhat on the smaller side (39mm) was also a definite plus. The dial is pretty good as well, with good contrast. The printing was of high quality, and the orange indices at the 3-6-9 position matching the orange second was a nice touch to bring a bit of contrast. I should note that while the watch lugs are sized for 20mm spring bars, the canvas strap is actually 22mm wide. I actually think this is a better look for the watch than the smaller leather strap, as it fills in the space from the thin lugs. The problem, unfortunately, was that the movement was faulty. It would stop randomly, even while being worn. I brought the Felix to a watchmaker I trust, and he stated that the likely issue was that the movement was over-oiled. The movement would've had to be completely disassembled, cleaned and re-installed to make the watch work properly, something that wasn't really worthwhile given the cost involved. I ended up returning the watch, to my disappointment.

jekostasI having a similar experience- random stopping even while being worn. I purchased it in January and the stopping issue has come up in the last week or so. I am considering returning it as well.

jekostasMine also intermittently stopped. The counterweight winding pendulum became stuck. Believe it or not, a vigorous shake and a manual rewind and up it started again. This has happened twice since wearing the watch from Christmas to now (Feb 14th). I want to say the last occurrence was a month ago and it's been running fine since. I also want to say that it seems to hold better time now than it did initially. Initially, it appeared to run fast by as much as 5 minutes a week, now more like 30 seconds to a minute a week; which I deem acceptable.

SSoperInterested in hearing if the watch is still performing well. I seem to be having the same issue with the watch - occasionally stopping completely and being unable to get the seconds going after attempting to sync the watch. Vigorous shakes and hand-winding seem to alleviate the issue, for now at least.

Stampy1824Hi Stampy, my watch is performing well still. I've worn it daily since Christmas, and although I had those two occasions when it stopped, the last vigorous shake seems to have properly meshed something within as it hasn't stopped since. It still runs a little fast but for a mechanical watch it certainly would meet railroad standards of 30 seconds a week, which is all one can really expect. Perhaps once a month, I have to hack set the watch again as it'll be a few minutes fast...it's not a problem. My watch has the clear back, and others have complained that the seal seems compromised and the watch fogged over (condensation). I'm happy to report that doesn't seem to be occurring with my particular watch...yet.

SSoperI had a similar problem with 2 (original then warranty replacement). I took in the replacement to my watch repair guy. he discovered the wrong sized o-rings were installed in the case back or housing. One or both was out of place and had jammed agains the winding rotor. He replaced with the correct size, and now everything is excellent.
