14themoneyNo, that's the high tech frame lock. The one being asked about here is used by many knife makers to secure their blades in an open position by wedging a portion of the frame behind the tang off the blade, which is then released by thumb pressure on that same portion of the frame.

Does this knife bite in the closed position? I have a similar folder that bite my hand too often than not when trying to pull it out of my pocket.
