I bought mine at $240 just two months ago. Now its going for $180! Don't I feel like a schmuck? At least I didn't join the drop in Jan 2019 at $240, I would feel even worse....
I picked up a Black Bugout from BHQ about 10 weeks ago for about $136. Now, they have it on sale for $100. Of course, when I called and asked for at least some of my money back, they were sympathetic but unyielding in their stance to keep every cent that I sent them. I guess my situation is only half as bad as yours, but I sure feel your pain.
If you've had a knife for over 10 weeks, you definitely own it at that point. I could see wanting some cash back if you ordered it like 10hrs prior to a sale, but over 2 months is a bit crazy. Even if they dropped the price 10 days after you ordered the knife, it's just bad luck and not really the store's fault.
I know that. I took a shot. It didn't work.
Sorry, since Drop completely controls the price they just gave the finger to all those who paid the $240. On sale, sure, at $225 or even $210 but dropping the price after they screw all the initial orders (orders that let them front the money for production). Seriously, screw me for $60. Fool me once, shame on you. You (Drop) won't get a second chance. You just lost a customer and I'll do my best to point this out where ever I go. That move is just plain bad business and I don't care if it was 10 days or 10 months. They did the same thing on the Falcon. That's how they thank customers for letting them use their money for months at a time. Never again. At least my Archbishop is still worth 90% of what I paid for it. I'll just do my business directly with FF from now on!
I bought the Heat Seeker folder at $280 about a month ago and now Drop has dropped it to $200. I was concerned about the 6-month delivery wait back on March 2019, so I held off until stock became available and the product reviews came out. Now I wish I had held off until the sale. They were very quiet about it. I noticed I was getting emails about sales on other knives but not on knives I had previously purchased already at full price. Coincidence?
