I've noticed on the details tab, the following are mentioned as the make up for the materials: 58% merino wool, 40% nylon, 2% Lycra On the packing of my socks are listed as: 45% wool 41% nylon 11% nylon reinforce 2% spandex 1% polyester The listing should reflect that.

RotterI noticed the same thing on the pack that I just received. "45% WOOL".. ok??.. is it really even merino wool?? Billing these as "Merino Socks" seems pretty damn deceptive to me.. Also.. based on multiple previous orders back when these were "Massdrop" socks and the recommendations of the sizing chart listed here, I ordered size XXL.. size XXL used to fit my size 12 feet perfectly. Size XXL are now $%^@%$ HUGE! Part of me is glad that Fitsok finally stepped in line with conventional sizing.. another part of me is pretty pissed that I know have to figure out what to do with 3 pairs of these giant socks..

DSH007Agree there with you, thankfully I took a close look at the chart and went against my gut instinct to size down.

DSH007Also, the quality has really taken a hit, in my humble opinion. These socks have not even been washed and look rough as hell. I do understand that is sort of the nature of wool, but earlier iterations have held better... You can even see the threading handing out on the top sock.

john.webbI appreciate it. I kinda dove in and bought two separate pairs thinking that they'll get scooped up pretty quick. To be fair the socks are holding up thus far, but it hasn't been long at all. Maybe the batch of socks weren't the best quality...

RotterWow, those do look rough! Mine have the odd loose thread here and there but are in wayyy better shape than those.. My biggest gripe is with mislabeled materials.. the socks that I received were different than the socks that were advertised. It's shady. Would also be nice if the sizing chart was more accurate.. Hope massdrop/fitsok make it right for you.

DSH007Sorry. After reviewing this thread I noticed that I addressed this to the wrong person. Was attempting to respond to Rotter's situation. Otherwise, offer stands for Rotter. Are they Crew or Low? XL or XXL? If they're Low and XXL, if you can figure out an easy and equitable way to ship 'em, I'd buy 'em from you. I have three pair from the Massdrop days that are so tight that I keep thinking I'm just going to throw them away. Maybe a trade is in order? I wear a size 14. I think I was still a 13 when I bought the tight ones, but that still fell within the XXL sizing on paper, but not in reality. I imagine they'd fit Size 12 very well(?), but it is a crap-shoot for both of us I reckon. Haven't worn them more than 2 or 3 times in the couple or three years I've had them. Have not tried to find an alternate use for them or anything (like dusting or cleaning of some other kind). They've sat in my socks drawer not bothering anybody, and I don't bother them either. Either reply here or if there's a way on this site to private message, that would be better. Would rather not publish contact info here in full view, but I'll make an exception if it seems like workin' something out between us is a good idea. Let me know.

DSH007 said back in April: " another part of me is pretty pissed that I know have to figure out what to do with 3 pairs of these giant socks.. " Hey 007, I bought the same drop back in 2018 and my size 14s (which were included in the XXL size specs) get so choked out that a full day mowing my lawns or even just walking during a shopping trip or whatever, leave my feet so tired and swollen that I don't bet I've worn any of the three pair even 10 times over the last ~24 months. With that said, if you still have the new ones and are still completely dissatisfied with them, I would be willing to take a chance that they're not worn enough to prevent me from offering to buy 'em from you, or alternatively, to make a trade, your new(er) 3 pair for my old(er) 3 pair. Not sure how we work that out without one of us posting a way of contacting the other here in public, but I could make a temporary Google phone number that I can turn off if/when someone(s) take the opportunity to harass a po' po' pitiful old man for no reason. LOL Or you or I could make a Craig's List ad and use their anonymous email system. Anyway, think about it. If it works for you you, I'm sure we can work it out. I'm not particularly bugged by the Merino percentage in these or the last drop. All the manufacturers using Merino use that one spec more than any other to market their socks, regardless of how low the percentage is. It just means to me that I have to set whatever floor-percentage I'm willing to pay for and stick to it. Also have to make sure and read descriptions before I buy so I'm not surprised when I get 'em. To each his own though.
