Finally received mine 10 days passed estimated delivery day. These are only first impresssions, so keep that in mind. First thing that came to mind is how incredibly damn light these things are. They even claim to be "worlds lightest" trekking pole. I don't know if that's true, but why the hell would you need anything lighter than these? They felt almost flimsy to me at first, but after a small hike I can definitely say they are not flimsy. My one minor problem I have with these poles (and every twist lock pole I've ever owned) is the noise and vibration that comes off them when digging in hard. One of the poles I received seems to have a worse vibration and buzz than the other. Other than that, I'm quite pleased. Very good backups to my C3 Komperdell poles. Looking forward to getting into the backcountry with them to really test them out.

gnarledcouleeOk, I was out this weekend on a big backcountry hike in the Cape Breton Highlands this weekend. I love the poles. A lot. Especially on ascents and flats. The lightweightness of these should not be understated. A couple of things to note: It's quite thin aluminum and definitely not as durable as the titanal material in the C3's I have. I noticed myself being gentler than I normally would with them while bushwhacking. They will bend very easily if accidentally twisted between some matted krumholz, for example. Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase. Such a great deal I'm getting another pair!
