Bit of a long shot, but I had the Fizan 4's in my cart at 1am last night for 48 dollars. Decided to sleep on it and now its back to 68. Please discount it again!
Seemingly decent poles but appalling packaging from massdrop.
As you can see from the images (and from a few other reviews I see) the care in packaging was just awful. The poles were pushed through the box and exposed for their entire trip. This must have happened at the point of dispatch rather than during transit as they simply do not fit in the box.
Will think hard before ordering on here again as this was clearly not done by accident but rather through laziness and I’ll say once more, they simply do not fit in the box; and as a “fix” they were literally forced through the end.
Mine arrived in the same state. They put some bubble warp along the bottom of the box, where the poles lay flat. But nothing to stop the poles from piercing. The carrier covered the holes from the sharp end with packaging tape.
Fair enough Glen, just wanted to give Canadian buyers a headsup. The relative rate is higher than normal for duty costs as the shipping vendor (DHL) charges on brokerage fees at the border. I didn't see anything in the cost breakdown that alluded to impact of size. The charge was HST plus the brokerage charge from DHL.
AHotJacksonOh sorry I totally misunderstood then I thought it was a shipping bill, DHL sucks, but I honestly thought that they charged brokerage fees only if it was past like 3 days or something....anyway I totally get the heads up sorry I butted in. I can't get international shipping rates that low for anything unless it's under 8 oz....24.50 for 1 lb+ for first class mail! And that's the cheapest service I can find
