Why is a straight, non-coiled, version never available as a choice?

We're starting to sample a straight version, don't have an ETA, but it's in the works.

The coil is 5 3/4" long and the cable is 54" from the coil to the end of the USB-A connector (including the YC8 connector).

The cable was designed in conjunction with FU11.META1, the designer of the keycaps, to ensure it matches as close as we can get it to the keycap colors. Matching colors on plastic and metal is very difficult and there may be some minor difference though. Once both products are in-stock we will take some updated photos showing them side by side.
