Absolutely top notch machining! A+ quality
What would make this a 5 star knife is 1) better blade steel and 2) a left hand version like the "Thresher" or at minimum a left side pocket clip. The machining on this knife is crazy! Custom pivot design and the contours are outstanding! It almost looks like the titanium is form molded around the pivot because the machining is so good! I drilled/tapped for left pocket carry and i might remove the flipper tab if i decide to mod this one like my "Thresher".

StitchjonesCurious about your comment on the steel, why do you say it could be better? S35VN is supposed to be quite a good steel, is there anything wrong with it on these knives?

mdeousS35vn is a good steel! Don't get me wrong, my issue is cost vs quality. You can get a knife with m390 steel (arguably the best available) for as little as $100. S35vn is kinda the bottom level of "super steels" but it is still a really good steel!

StitchjonesWhat knife with good machining has m390 and is near 100 bucks? I've seen numbers around 150, but the quality of the knife is less than what you find on this one, on most if not all facets of the knife

JaegerDI definitely wasn't referring to good machining for $100 lol. But if blade steel is what your after, the Giant Mouse Iona is around $100 with m390. Of course other aspects of the knife are cut to save the customer money (FRN handle material). The machining on the Nurse is extremely well done!! I still think they could have knocked this knife out of the park with a better blade steel and left hand version, IMO. Let me know if you have any questions. I'm happy to respond!

StitchjonesI don't disagree, but I feel like this is more a case of seeing a forest for the tree type of deal. From what I've been lead on, M390 is a less fun experience for sharping but I have yet to try it first hand... I almost bit the bullet on the GM Iona, but I dislike the lack of cutout for hitting the line lock. I may just end up with one and take a dremel to it since it is a fair price

JaegerDSharpening used to be a problem when i was first getting into knife stuff. Now i can make my own knives in my shop :) so sharpen on my belt grinder now. But from my experience, a good set of diamond grit sharpener will cut any steel type like butter. I have used everything from crock sticks to wicked sharp to work sharp sharpeners. Diamond grit stones make m390 feel like any other type of steel. But back on topic: I'm very happy with the Nurse knife and don't have any regrets buying it 👍

StitchjonesI just got some cheapo stones I might as well found at goodwill, so I'm pretty much boned with any sharpening for now Does that pocket clip give off any hotspot with that curve out? It looks like it comes out a fair bit

JaegerDSo far i haven't noticed any hot spots or any problems with the clip. Now that you mention it, the only thing that bugs me is the flipper tab. It sticks out a fare amount so if you reach into your pocket it is kinda annoying and pokes your hand. I might grind the tab off of mine since it opens so well with just a finger flick.
