After having both my combat subs break within 3 months and my friend had 3 break within a year, it's a hard no. This is an invicta. Glycine is dead now due to this garbage company. Gritty movement. They run fast. Combat subs are trash. I'd give about 199 for one.

F16chiefSorry to hear that I don’t remember hearing about these complaints with the older eta versions glycine was never a top quality watch but the eta’s worked at least all mine do i still say half the problem is invicta the other half is Sellita

ED61I wanted this to work. I loved the look of the subs. My friend has had a worse time. He got the golden eye and it fell apart. The crown fell off mine. I had to send back to IWSC and pay 139 to fix the crown.

F16chiefSo although invicta said they wouldn’t interfere with the production of the glycine it seems to be a huge quality control issue

ED61In my opinion yes. I have 5 examples and all were purchased in 2018. You wouldn't believe how gritty the movement is. Hand winding it makes you worry it's going to break. It's crunchy and has a lot of resistance. I have a base 22 Glycine and it's fine. So maybe it's the combat sub line?

F16chiefI’ve never had similar issues with the eta subs in fact I do remember before glycine started using the sw200 there were many compliments about winding resistant issues

F16chiefI have the same issue with my Combat Sub's handwinding(2018). It feels like it can break at anytime. Won't buy another.

GoodTimesDo we really need to hear about 9/11 conspiracies in a watch discussion? Take that bullshit somewhere else with anything else that's meant to stir up shit.

TzoidOk, touchy subject for you it seems, all I could see him doing was making an analogy. I understand where you are coming from now. Cheers, take care

F16chiefI’ve had my Costco sub for almost two years now, it started out about 10 sec/day fast, crown action felt weird initially. Click positions felt vague. Everything smoothed out after a few weeks. After about three or four months I realized the watch was now running very accurately! Now, for the past year or so, this very nice watch is running slightly less than One Second per day fast. Thats better than my Rolex Submariner. Hell, it’s more accurate than any watch I own save my Bulova Lunar Pilot which runs 2 seconds per YEAR fast. Well, two seconds and 1 hour because I didn’t want to adjust for DST. The Combat sub is Slim, easy to read, lume lasts all night. With the drilled lugs which you don’t get anymore, strap changes are a snap! The Glycine is currently my Favorite watch. That said , I did have an Airman that ran a out 15 spd fast initially and only got worse. The crown action detents never felt right and occasionally it felt like the rotor spun like a top when screwing down the crown. Cest la vie, Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you don’t.
