to be honest a Pepsi or Coke dial on a non GMT watch is pointless. By adding to it the historically accurate but archaic minute markings for the first 15 minutes just clutters up a busy dial. That 15 marking hasn’t been used as decompression in almost 50yr. As for a date wheel, yes when I dive or am in combat knowing the date is so not useful.
RayFA GMT with a two color dial, a date wheel, and not cluttered up with a meaningless decompression stage? Yes Steinhart makes a very nice version or you could go to Watchrecon dot com and search GMT and have the choice of hundreds
SeaCaptain6I'd guess the majority of functional, two toned inserts, even on GMT watches, are seldom used more than once or twice in a lifetime. Few have the need or one, many have the desire for one.
RayFNot at all, did not know this was a writing contest for the erudite. I do have 30yrs in the Navy and have a SCUBA and closed circuit diving rating if that helps.
RayFYou and your obsession with reading comprehension, to be clear you wrote "And you know where you can buy the watch you're describing, right?" that dear boy is a question, especially with the final snarky interrogative "right?" as in you need help, I know you were trying to be so smart but I decided to play your silly game right back at you. Hey you want to buy a poser watch that is masquerading as a GMT with a bicolor bezel go ahead, you are already posing here so it should fit your "style" perfectly.
