hi guys, anybody can advise how to connect coaxial to this balance dac. Thank you.
The orange connector labelled SPDIF is a dual socket that accepts coaxial or optical, both cables require a 3.5mm jack adapter if using standard fit cables and only one cable option can be used at one time so it requires cable swapping if you wish to use both options or another adapter/junction box switcher that can accept coaxial and optical input with a switch to choose which one is output then into the DAC.
Thank you for reply.
your image is not what I get.
I got the drop of DAC below.
what kind of 3.5mm coaxial jack it need.
Can you show me picture or link.
Yes my mistake, your picture is correct sorry about that.
So, In the box there is a short orange cable adaptor, the 3.5mm jack plugs into the 3.5mm socket and you then connect your coaxial cable from your source into that cable adaptor if you have a traditional coaxial in the RCA style that’s on CD players for example.
If you have for example a DAP that will have a 3.5mm coaxial out, in that case you require a 3.5mm to 3.5mm coaxial cable and not a regular 3.5mm to 3.5mm extension cable and then you do not use the cable adaptor in the box.
This is the orange cable adaptor.
Thank you Lisasonictower
I can't find any 3.5 to 3.5 coaxial cable but only 3.5 to RCA same the orange one on Amazon.
This cable with the 3.5 into a DAP and the RCA end into the adaptor cable in the DAC box, or if your source has the single RCA coaxial style output then use the cable the other way of RCA plug into source and 3.5 into DAC without the cable adaptor.
