Product Description
We partnered with Axel Grell—legendary engineer behind some of Sennheiser’s most sought-after headphones—to create a true-wireless IEM with unprecedented audiophile-grade performance. Working closely with Axel’s new brand, grell, we left no feature unrefined. Noise-canceling is revolutionized with grell’s innovative psycho-acoustical Noise Annoyance Reduction (NAR) system. Connectivity is optimized with Bluetooth 5.2 and support for the latest codecs. Communication is crystalized with an advanced microphone array and patent-pending Multilayer Turbulence Eliminator (MTE). And sound quality? It’s best-in-class, thanks to custom-designed dynamic drivers. Introducing the Drop + grell TWS1X IEM: your new true-wireless staple.

Cutting-Edge Noise-Canceling, Custom Dynamic Drivers

To make a pair of true-wireless earphones without equal, you have to innovate without compromise. In the TWS1X, we took the road less traveled—giving Axel Grell the opportunity to fine-tune and unveil a host of all-new technologies. Front and center is the psycho-acoustical Noise Annoyance Reduction (NAR) system: a step forward in sound reduction that combines the best of active and passive noise-canceling. Where other earphones only use active systems—which cover up to 800 hertz—the TWS1X also features passive insulation to reduce mid-high and high-frequencies. This passive design pairs with an advanced active algorithm that analyzes incoming frequencies to cancel noise without degrading sound quality. Inside, grell’s custom-designed 10-millimeter dynamic drivers work in harmony with the TWS1X’s housings to deliver detailed and punchy audio. Combined with a patent-pending Multilayer Turbulence Eliminator (MTE) microphone array for ultra-clear calls—plus Bluetooth 5.2, a 45-hour battery life, and support for wireless charging—these components put the TWS1X in a class of its own, in every category.

Grell: Going Further for Audiophiles

Axel Grell created some of Sennheiser’s finest headphones—including our very own HD 6XX and HD 58X, as well as models in the high-end HD 800 Series. Now, he’s founded his own company to take his innovation, and motivation, even further. “I've always tried to create the best possible acoustical experience for the money, no matter the price point,” Axel says of his approach. “With grell, we put our resources solely into achieving the best sound possible, emphasizing the acoustic experience of the product and providing audio that is fine-tuned to the user’s ear.” With world-class products already behind him, we can only expect his next releases to raise the bar even higher. That’s why we’re proud to be the first brand to partner with grell—and why we couldn’t be more excited for future launches—to elevate the audiophile experience together.

Question
When I work out, I use an MP3 player on my smart watch. Android 7 has a very good MP3 player with volume control. I now have a new smart watch with Android 9 with a limited MP3 player with no volume control and the volume is too low. Does the Grell have volume controls? And what other controls are available. Also so my experience with touch controls is that when I try to adjust the fit in my ear, it pauses the player or jumps to another song.
