I got both, I found the clears have a higher initial resistance which made the actuation point more obvious, but they bottom out much easier, the trues had less tactility and less initial force, but the bottom out resistance was noticeably stronger. They are quite similar yes, but not identical, and the color of the stem has nothing to do with the led transmission, thats only the housing which is the same for both.
Also, lube them, they get much quieter and the actuation becomes much more clear to the hand.

Not just the colour. Clears have a bit of a sharper bump because there is slightly more force needed before the bump compared to the Trues, so they're also just slightly louder.

bullmoos211Halo clears let your RGB under your witches radiate better and are slightly stiffer to the True in force needed to actuate. I have used both honestly can't tell the difference.

Will these work with CTRL, ALT, or SHIFT keyboards?

I saw that the point between the leaf and the stem (the one that touches the leaf) is lubed, it is some sort of a transparent lube, and very little. Nothing else is lubed (sides etc) - so only the contact point between the copper leaf and the stem.
