RangerXMLDidnt see the point of filming mine since stem wobble was very minimal and housing was already tight enough/a pain fitting into my plate. Besides that, enjoy your Pandas! They're fun to type with.
CiferFilming is more for housing wobble and doesn’t effect the stem, but I also love the sound with film. I’m in the GB for the Red Yok Panda V2 and plan not to film them.
RangerXMLJust how different are Holy Pandas from a regular Halo? In what ways might someone find it a better experience and what sort of person might actually prefer a straight up Halo?
hyperlinkedIts day and night, the Holy Pandas are closer to a Zealio v2 62g, then anything Halo, but with a shorter throw. Smooth, beautiful clack sound and very tactile. I think most of the unique characteristics that people enjoy on the Holy Panda are do to the flaw of putting a stem from an incompatible switch into a linear house that it doesn't fit all the way, for example the stem does not go down all the way (sticks out about 1-2mm). Most people that I've talked to complain about how unpleasant the Halo switch feels when it bottoms out and they only got to liking it because of how it made them aware of it, even when I put a linear stem into the Halo (aka an Unholy Panda) did I feel how flat the bottom out feels, compared to Ink or Creams where it feels like a needle stopping on a flat service. I'm interested in how the Unholy Panda is going to feel against some Gateron Yellow switches (Yellow Milky switches are the bargain king at about $.20 per switch).
RangerXMLOk, from your description and from the demos I found on Youtube, I'm getting the feeling that it's somewhat like a the dampened ALPS that were used in the classic Apple Extended Keyboard II's.
Are you familiar with the tactile bumps of ALPS switches? ALPS switches are probably my favorite switch, but I never use them except for fun because the classic ones are so glitchy and none of the reproductions do the originals justice.
Someone who knows what I'm talking about please please tell me this is a tactile ALPS switch reborn with an MX stem.
