I've always wanted to try out some planar magnetics and after finally getting my hands on a pair of these I must admit I was quite disappointed. The sound quality is decent but my biggest gripe with these would be the headband. They're extremely uncomfortable. After just a couple hours of usage the top of my head would start to hurt. The padding on them is minimal and you can feel the metal underneath easily. Also, the sliders on the side to adjust fitment of the cans don't seem to stay in place once you adjust them. They move much too freely.
After about five days something inside the right can became loose and would rattle with slight movement. Don't know if this is a common issue or not but it rendered the set unusable.
Overall I would recommend you spend your money elsewhere.
Are you filing a warranty claim? Why wouldn't you?
This was exactly the comment I'm looking for. The headband looks so uncomfortable in the pictures, too, and for me, comfort comes first. Thank you a lot.
Yes of course. It's already been returned.
Very mature and constructive response. Why are you even here?
the rattling could have been caused by something dropping inside the headphones and rubbing up against the driver, usually a bit of dust or sand or something
Dust doesn't rattle. It had to have been a component of the headphone that came loose. I only had them for four days.
Could be a little bit of plastic, a chip of a rock, grain of sand, speck of solder.
It actually couldn't be any of those things. Four days. I had them for four days. They didn't go on a trail with me. They didn't leave my desk. It was a manufacturer defect.
injection moulding leaves little tabs, solder occasionally have bits that come off
I'm not trying to say I'm right, I'm just suggesting that that particular point may have been fairly easily fixable.
