Really good planar, really affordable
These have width, but sound less smooth than the 400i. The earpads make these get hot. Otherwise, this is a buy for the price range, and it's only other competition among planars is the T_-RP. Great for gaming and everything else. Build is good, no need to worry. Also, best entry planars. Drop should keep these stocked, always, if this price point is maintained.
EDIT: Although these are phenomenal for music, especially chillhop/jazzhop style music, for gaming, there are some games where you will find better options. These may work great for some games, but due to the audio technology used, in games like Gears 5, these have very poor soundstage, making it difficult to locate the enemy in TD mode. Still a great recommendation for non-competitive gaming uses, and some competitive gaming, but if competitive gaming is your priority, on Drop there are better options: Beyerdynamic DT770 80 Ohm, Sennheiser HD6XX and Drop + HiFiMan's HD-35X.
Would recommend to a friend.
