Those of us whose wives balk at spending $100 or more on headphones greatly appreciate seeing high end headphone technology like planar drivers approaching a lower price point, even *if* HiFiMan had to make some sacrifices to run a profitable flash sale.
This *is* a flash sale, and they need to make a profit to have a sustainable business. That means moving lots of product quickly at discounted costs. MD also needs to make a profit to keep doing collaborative drops. This price point is extremely impressive given the risk.
