Hello, I just joined, primarily for the audiophile products. Looking at purchasing the NHT C3 speakers for our new living room. Space is about 15 feet wide by 33 long and they will fire long ways. Space is just for general listening, music room with all equipment is downstairs, so hoping they will fill it with sound nicely. Cheers.

Copy: L1=L+-10dB R1=R+-10dB Channel: L1 R1 Filter: ON HP Fc 200 Hz Filter: ON LP Fc 9000 Hz Delay: 3 ms Copy: L=L+0.5*R1 R=R+0.5*L1
These settings also add a crossfeed filter that makes the headphone sound far more open and spacious by tricking your brain into thinking the sound is wrapping around your head more, like you were listening to things in a live space or with large room speakers further away. You can remove the crossfeed by deleting the last line of the file: Copy: L=L+0.5*R1 R=R+0.5*L1 Without that line telling the EQ to copy the audio back into the other channels then the crossfeed is not made use of so it is effectively off. You can also mess around with the delay in the crossfeed to make the sound stage wider or more narrow. 2ms is the minimum I would use as 1ms has some phasing issues. The higher the delay the more spacious the audio is, up till somewhere around 8-10ms. Higher than that and it starts to sound just like a delay effect on everything. You can also adjust the strength of the crossfeed by changing the multiplier used in the last line. I use 0.5 for 50% as my default, but you can go higher or lower as well. Lower you may not hear the effect at all, and too high will ruin your stereo seperation of the audio.
Feel free to use this EQ file as a base and then tweak to your hearts content.
