got them a few days ago and listened to them at work for a few hours.
one of the metal clamps/arms that holds the ear pad, popped off. the screw came unseated. thankfully they used a metal screw socket, so i was able to grab a t6 (torque 6) bit and screw it back in. i found out 3 of those screws take a t6 head, while the 4th one takes a t7 head.
it's going to function fine.......but really? you don't have all of the same sized screws on the same parts?

eghhAND, after WAITING OVER 2 Months, many are reporting similar ( and have done so in Previous drops) Simply unacceptable...

southernTDa work friend pointed out, they seem to be using parts from he-400i, he-400s. this might be an attempt to clear out old inventory and still make some money from it.
sadly, it sounds like the quality people complained about hifiman are correct. so i wont be rushing to buy another one, but for now they're fine. they sound about as good as my modded shp9500 headphones, for about the same price.
so i won't be looking to get anything else unless it's at a different price point.
