Well I made the unfortunate decision I'm buying my pair off of drop Warehouse so when two days In to use the o-ring drops completely out and makes it so that half of my headphones are useless I have no ability to seek a refund or any recourse and I am livid quality of construction has been repeatedly stated to be terrible and I can fully support those statements I am so so mad I can't describe it. What's most frustrating is that it happened when I wasn't even using it I picked it up off my desk and it was gone with half the cord just hanging out

So sorry to hear about your HE4XX dismay. The only redeeming aspect of this pair of cans, is it's supreme sonic performance. Though everything else, hardware-wise just falls apart. in no time at all. Could the "quality" build, be a hit or miss? I'd wager it is. I could gamble on that chance..if Drop cuts another $50 (to $80). All this bad rap and trouble ain't worth it, for > $100 (planar or not).

The warranty/refund applies whether you bought it from the warehouse site or the main site. Just contact CS for a replacement or a full refund.

There is a quality control issue with the HE4XX. It seems that some people get one that's reliable while others receive one that has assembly issues. In my experience parts quality is good. However, my HE4XX had a small piece of paper glued to the left headphone jack which caused the left speaker to cut out intermittently. Removing the paper fixed the problem.
