I haven't used the invyr version, but ignoring the name/origin/price, these are pretty good tactile switches on their own and usable as is, albeit with a little ping and scratchiness out of the box. It'll be interesting to see how these compare to the new lubed versions, but for those who don't mind adding a little on their own these will be a better buy.
Big caveat tho, $1 per switch as many have noted is asking a lot especially considering the state of the market and that these aren't actually frankenswitches. They compare much more favorably if you can snag them at ~$0.50 when on sale. I would recommend them as a decent tactile option that's readily available, but have to dock a few stars both for the needed modding and the markup.
I am using these stock on a Feker Alice 98 with DCX Dusk caps. I think they sound good (tbf I don't really care about sound unless it sounds annoying) and feel good so 🤷♂️. I like the other Pandas (Drop Holy and Glorious) and Boba U4T as well, so if you like those maybe you'll like these.
I mainly use them for a numpad, so my use case is limited. Personally would not purchase them simply because the price. there are better options for the price.
I got a pack of these from the spring cleaning sale for free, and to be completely honest, they're not even good for free. I'm not the biggest tactile fan, but there have been a few that I've enjoyed; however, these are uncomfortable, scratchy, and clunky. Even after wearing them in they still don't deliver. I haven't tried to lube them at all, but even if I did, I don't think it would be worth it in the end. If you're looking for an excellent tactile switch, this is something that I would avoid.
I'd say that without lubing these are not worth nearly the amount said. they feel somewhat mushy and have a lot of spring ping. that being said when you lube them they feel amazing. If these are on sale and you are willing to lube them then they are definitely a great option. (only my second-ever tactile switch though)
Name's Misleading. Quality of some batch is subpar.
Doesn't feel like Invyr's Holy Panda at all.. even the manufacturer's not the same one. It's just a steep bump tactile. And like many Gateron-produced switches.. this one is prone to breaking.
