Looks like some conversations with our "highbrow" brothers have been locked by moderators. Who would have thought this pre-order watch would have sparked such a response. You would hope the interest translates into orders!

JAoneYes I just hope the thread is just πŸ”’ but they'll keep from "hiding" it because the β„Ή I'm sharing there comes from facts and not "just because"

MarPabl Your so-called facts have been credibly repudiated. Best thing you can do at this juncture is NOT BUY THE WATCH.

MarPablEach of your points were addressed by Leo, a guy who seems most familiar with the process for creating and building this watch. I have no reason to believe your numbers over his broader discussion of how a price point is established. On the other hand, I would absolutely love to see you work up the same figures for this watch:

I'm positive their numbers have been cooked six ways to Sunday!!!

RayFThis is the analysis https://drop.com/buy/drop-invicta-1960-chronograph-watch/talk/2615399?utm_source=linkshare&referer=9958VR With that one I can say: Yes he may be in the ⌚ design process but that one is worth nothing if the final price is out of the market, which happened here. So that may lead me πŸ’¬ he doesn't really have the required experience to correctly set a price, or add the correct features to make the ⌚ more desirable. Or has the πŸ€πŸ to come πŸ†™οΈ with a rip-off price... that one may also be true πŸ˜‘ For establishing that fact, I provided market evidence regarding prices for Glycine, the sister brand . All the "costs considerations" provided had really no backup, just words no facts. And in the end it was all theoretical because no matter what, I know of a much better priced ⌚ which is very similar in features, which was offered here as well and that it's made in πŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺ not πŸ‡¨πŸ‡³ like this one. And also I know of some Glycine automatic bronze ⌚ offered for a little more πŸ’° and also πŸ‡¨πŸ‡ made. In conclusion, this price is in the limbo: a little more you get an automatic πŸ‡¨πŸ‡ made ⌚, a lot less you get almost the same ⌚ and it's even made in πŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ So I still don't see how the pricing facts were addressed at all πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ The Daytona at least has an exclusive caliber, 4135 if I'm not mistaken so there's no way you can get other ⌚ with that specific mechanism. When I get those 4️⃣ figure ⌚ is because there's something unique about them. And here we can't say "but these are chronographs anyway" because if we πŸ’¬ like that, then a Casio/Timex or the πŸ“± will do, and with better precision BTW. Obviously that's not the case here. At least I get ⌚ because they've got something special about them. And specifically I'm here because at times we get such special ⌚ at a great price . otherwise I would be @ the AD paying full MSRP. For this ⌚, knowing that there are other options almost exactly the same but so better priced, then the price here makes no sense no matter how lower it is compared with the Daytona for example.

Drizzt321I enjoy using emojis πŸ˜€ don't be hurt by that, but instead by: 1️⃣ Messages with disinformation or that add nothing relevant. 2️⃣ Poor writing: spelling or grammar.

MarPabl Because emojis make it hard to read. Reading is letters and characters and text. Emojis are none of those and interrupt my reading to figure out WTF that little tiny image is.

Drizzt321Then you're making additional effort to read the message which translates in increased retention of the message itself πŸ‘πŸ» https://brandfit.agency/using-emojis-can-increase-understanding-in-communication/ And you're not alone: it requires additional ⏳ from me to ✍🏼 the messages (I'm fast @ typewriting, using 9οΈβƒ£πŸ‘†πŸΌ), but also allows me to better express the πŸ’‘

MarPablNot for me. I'm making a distracting effort to understand just WTF those little images are that are hard to see mean. I mostly skip over them because it required extra brain power I don't care to devote to them. Personally, I'm pretty good at extracting meaning and information quickly from text. I do realize I'm not always the usual. And that writeup was from a brand agency. Something to take context for their info.
