Looks like some conversations with our "highbrow" brothers have been locked by moderators. Who would have thought this pre-order watch would have sparked such a response. You would hope the interest translates into orders!
Each of your points were addressed by Leo, a guy who seems most familiar with the process for creating and building this watch. I have no reason to believe your numbers over his broader discussion of how a price point is established.
On the other hand, I would absolutely love to see you work up the same figures for this watch:

I'm positive their numbers have been cooked six ways to Sunday!!!

With that one I can say: Yes he may be in the โ design process but that one is worth nothing if the final price is out of the market, which happened here. So that may lead me ๐ฌ he doesn't really have the required experience to correctly set a price, or add the correct features to make the โ more desirable. Or has the ๐๐ to come ๐๏ธ with a rip-off price... that one may also be true ๐
For establishing that fact, I provided market evidence regarding prices for Glycine, the sister brand . All the "costs considerations" provided had really no backup, just words no facts. And in the end it was all theoretical because no matter what, I know of a much better priced โ which is very similar in features, which was offered here as well and that it's made in ๐ฉ๐ช not ๐จ๐ณ like this one. And also I know of some Glycine automatic bronze โ offered for a little more ๐ฐ and also ๐จ๐ญ made.
In conclusion, this price is in the limbo: a little more you get an automatic ๐จ๐ญ made โ, a lot less you get almost the same โ and it's even made in ๐ฉ๐ช๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ So I still don't see how the pricing facts were addressed at all ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
The Daytona at least has an exclusive caliber, 4135 if I'm not mistaken so there's no way you can get other โ with that specific mechanism. When I get those 4๏ธโฃ figure โ is because there's something unique about them. And here we can't say "but these are chronographs anyway" because if we ๐ฌ like that, then a Casio/Timex or the ๐ฑ will do, and with better precision BTW. Obviously that's not the case here. At least I get โ because they've got something special about them. And specifically I'm here because at times we get such special โ at a great price . otherwise I would be @ the AD paying full MSRP.
For this โ, knowing that there are other options almost exactly the same but so better priced, then the price here makes no sense no matter how lower it is compared with the Daytona for example.
I've pointed this out to him on numerous occasions.
Frankly I've given up trying read anything longer than a few lines.
Meanwhile in MarPabl's living room...
I enjoy using emojis ๐ don't be hurt by that, but instead by:
1๏ธโฃ Messages with disinformation or that add nothing relevant.
2๏ธโฃ Poor writing: spelling or grammar.
Because emojis make it hard to read. Reading is letters and characters and text. Emojis are none of those and interrupt my reading to figure out WTF that little tiny image is.
Then you're making additional effort to read the message which translates in increased retention of the message itself ๐๐ป
https://brandfit.agency/using-emojis-can-increase-understanding-in-communication/
And you're not alone: it requires additional โณ from me to โ๐ผ the messages (I'm fast @ typewriting, using 9๏ธโฃ๐๐ผ), but also allows me to better express the ๐ก
Not for me. I'm making a distracting effort to understand just WTF those little images are that are hard to see mean. I mostly skip over them because it required extra brain power I don't care to devote to them.
Personally, I'm pretty good at extracting meaning and information quickly from text. I do realize I'm not always the usual.
And that writeup was from a brand agency. Something to take context for their info.
