Product Description
Our latest IEM marks the long-awaited return of JVC audiophile products to the US. With dynamic drivers among the largest in their class, a premium all-metal housing, and three pairs of interchangeable nozzles, the HA-FDX1 delivers next-level sound you can fine-tune to your liking.

Big-Speaker Sound in a Portable IEM

The Drop community has been asking for a higher-end single dynamic driver IEM for years. So, we teamed up with JVC to make it happen. Based on the popular JVC HA-FD01, the Drop + JVC HA-FDX1 DUAL CARBON IEM employs the same premium metal housing as the original, with new tunings based on community-favorite modifications. The key to the remarkable sound is the large 11-millimeter dynamic drivers. Because of their size, they’re able to move air more easily for a clean, punchy sound with an effortless bass kick—similar to what you’d hear in much larger speakers. To really make the IEM your own, we’re including three pairs of newly developed stainless steel nozzles: one for the stock sound and two for a modded sound based on testing by the audiophile community.

Quality You Can Feel, Detail You Can Hear

The Drop + JVC HA-FDX1 DUAL CARBON IEM owes much of its impressive performance to an equally impressive construction. The driver diaphragm is composed of two different materials, each with a state-of-the-art coating. First is the center dome with a diamond-like-carbon coating, and second is the outer ring with a black-carbon coating. The result of this unique build is the high resolution and detail audiophiles love, without the harshness and resonance found in other diaphragms. To protect the goods inside, our HA-FDX1 has a robust stainless steel housing—the same used in the acclaimed original—that feels like a fine timepiece or a piece of jewelry.

3 Community-Favorite Tunings

The HA-FDX1 sounds great right out of the box, but we’re throwing in some extras to make it even better. Included with the IEM are two newly developed stainless steel nozzles (based on the community’s favorite mods) that can be swapped out with ease. There’s one for a modded sound that emphasizes detail and clarity, and another that highlights a smoother, warmer output. Of course, if you prefer the original sound (or you want to tweak it yourself), the stock earpieces are included, too. What’s more, the IEM has a tangle-free cable and rotating nozzles that allow listeners to wear them over the ear or with the wires down.

JVC: Tech’s Perennial Powerhouse

The Drop + JVC HA-FDX1 DUAL CARBON IEM marks the highly anticipated return of JVC audiophile products to the US market. JVC has been a world leader in audio and visual technology for nearly a century. Founded in Yokohama, Japan in 1927, the company originally manufactured phonographs, but its commitment to research and development and dedication to employing the world’s top talent led to other intriguing avenues. Among JVC’s many industry innovations over the years are Japan’s first phonograph, EP record, stereo record player, and VHS video recorder, which spawned a cultural phenomenon in and of itself in the 1980s. Today, JVC’s innovations in the home-theater, video-recording, and (of course) audio marketplace continue to attract worldwide attention.

Community Reviews

“The modded JVC FD01, on which these new FDX1 are based, have been my favorite IEMs for more than a year now.” - james444

“The FDX1’s dynamic driver excels in its more life-like timbre when compared to pricier all-armature sets. It’s more even tuning also makes it more realistic sounding than the typically more colored and bassier dynamic driver offerings from the competition.” - shotgunshane

“Personal favorite: blue filter. It’s also the closest to my neutral target curve." - Crinacle

“Excellent resolution, neutral-plus tonality, dynamic driver bass, A+ hardware, and of course: tunability.” - Mkubota1

“The end result is a bold and captivating sound that makes you want to keep listening to just one more song. They have a large and well-defined soundstage with very good image placement. Their bass is fantastic. It goes deep and maintains its power even into subsonic frequencies without any audible stress.” - XERO1

“... what I get from these is a laser-like incisiveness and clarity, much like you'd expect with the very best of BA earphones. The other thing I noticed right away was the purity of tone, in all bands. I don't think I've experienced any IEM which has this level of tonal realism, honesty, and that "right character" to every area of frequency range.” - cn11
