justanotherpxrsonTo be fair, I'm just getting started and I have two keycap sets, so I'd say if you've been in the hobby a while, yes, but as someone that doesn't have much I'm super pumped for these. Hopefully they're worth it, if not, I'm sure I can at least get my money back (**edit**) somewhere on the secondary market.

rath_cantinaThere's just a high chance you'll wind up with their budget Artifact Bloom and Skylight caps from this box, that aren't worth half of what they're charging for it, and are difficult to resell because no one wants them. You'd be better off keeping an eye out for Drop's random, unpublicized sales - sets like SA Godspeed, Carbon, and Oblivion have been half off with no announcements multiple times this summer. And there's frequently buy one, get one sales on MT3 keycaps.

justanotherpxrsonI'm talking about selling to a friend, a local group, or secondary market. If not, I'll do something fun and gift them or do a giveaway or whatever. I had no intention of trying to return them lol.

I don't foresee that happening, but then again marketing has got me in the past, albeit rarely. Looking at everything, if every box has to have a min. MSRP of $200, that's 4 sets of Artisan or other "budget" keycaps, which, honestly, even if they aren't that great, I'd still be ok with as someone who's newer to the hobby.
Every mystery box is a lottery. Of course there will be some losers, but really, even if I get a "loser" box I'm guessing I'll still be happy with it.
I was able to snag the Jukebox and Dancer MT3 caps on the last sale. I'll be on the lookout for the SA sales because I'd love have Oblivion. Thank you for the tip!

I’m new to the hobby too, but I’ve dug deep on the sales and bogos. I’m pleased with what I’ve gotten, but an artifact set would just be bleh for me, and I picked up like 6 MT3 sets. So, I figure high odds of getting a duplicate.
I really like mystery box type ideas for the fun of it, but I think I’ve been convinced otherwise this time. I’m glad to see you will definitely find value.

They're caps not switches, so there are no pins. They'll work with the Ctrl.

I just pre-ordered a box, then saw a question about them being out of stock. Am I just in the queue for possible additional boxes now? Or is my order one of the 300 sets offered?
