It’s been a keycap-filled decade here on Drop. When we started this business of group buys, we had no idea how involved we’d get in the Mech Keys community—and how much the community would give back to us. To celebrate 10 years with a thank-you, we’ve put together over 300 special gift boxes that share one thing in common: keycaps. With selections from our long and storied history of keycap runs, each box is filled with a mystery assortment of sets, artisans, and more—from brands including GMK, Artifact, and many others. Some more good news: these boxes are en route to our warehouse and set to ship imminently. . Even better: each one is valued at over $200 MSRP (some significantly more), so you know we’re serious about our thank-yous. Priced at just $99, they’re a steal for any serious collector. 

What is the price?

Each box is $99.

Can I buy multiple boxes?

The run is limited to 2 boxes per customer.

What kind of kits are in the boxes?

You can expect premium kits from MT3, GMK, SA, XDA, DCS, Skylight, Artifact, and others.

Can we see one sample kit?

Mystery Box 10 contains: MT3 Susuwatari Base Kit, Artifact Bloom Futures Full Kit, Artifact Bloom Glow Base Kit, SA Carbon Alphas, KeebMonkey Vintage Computer Modular Artisan Keycap.

What is the expected value of the box?

The MSRP of the contents within each box is over $200 (many much more). 

What should I expect to be included?

Each box will include a combination of kits (Alphas, Mods, Novelties) from existing keycap sets, as well as individual artisan and novelty keycaps. Each box should have a combination of keycaps that is enough to build at least one full tenkeyless keyboard.

Is this a grab bag of loose keycaps?

No. All the items within the box are kits and not loose keycaps—with the exception of artisan and novelty keycaps which are, by their nature, individual keycaps. This is not a grab bag of random individual keycaps that will be hard to put together.

Are the contents just old sets and old inventory from years past?

No. We have mostly included sets that are in circulation and NOT “dead” inventory from years prior.

Why only 300 boxes?

Since we wanted the boxes to be in stock and ready to ship, we have taken the time to prepare them ahead of time. As such, we don’t know how popular or what the response will be from the community. If there is a demand for more, we’ll look to expand the number we can offer.
