I'm actually happy with my MYSTERY box.
It's a mystery box, a loot box if you will. I believe part of the thrill is opening it and the anticipation of what you could get, not only what you receive. I decided to join this round because they had a drop chart: 1 set of either GMK, DCX, or MT3; 1 Skylight set; 1 deskpad; 1 set of switches. Here's my thought process broken down: I would have been happy with any GMK or DCX set. I like most of the GMK sets on Drop and they hold a decent amount of value so I could either sell or trade if I didn't like it. I was also intending on picking up a DCX set anyways to test out the profile as I've heard good things about it. Pulling a MT3 would have been most likely a miss for me. There are some cool colorways I wouldn't mind hitting but some other ones I don't particularly care for. Skylight set I knew I would be able to use as a stocking stuffer this holiday. Switches I was hoping to hit Aqua Kings or Holy Pandas. Any other non-cherry switch I would have been okay with. Cherry switches would have been a miss for me, but a stocking stuffer for my friends. As for deskpad, I prefer having a mousepad so I already knew I was likely going to give this away. Though I wouldn't mind having a spare pad when soldering or lubing. Given my situation, I felt like this round of mystery boxes was "worth" the risk. In my box, I got GMK Pixel, 110x Halo Clears, Iron Man Deskpad, and gray Skylight keycaps. I'm pleased to have hit a GMK set I like. This covers most of the value of the box considering Pixel can often be found for under $100 (on sale or secondhand). The other items I don't really care for, but will make nice stocking stuffers for my gaming friends who aren't necessarily keyboard enthusiasts. Overall not too bad!

swglessI have taken apart all of my Halo switches that came with any of my prebuilt drop alt's or ctrl's and put the stems into other housings. Sometimes I also reuse the spring too depending on the force.

SummerRayneGrlWhat housings do you prefer? I’m only really familiar with their use in holy pandas haha

swglessI have put them into glorious housings, and they don’t sound half bad. Someone gave me a bunch of glorious pandas but I don’t like them even carefully lubed. Tweaking them with the halo stems and springs seemed to make them sound better to me at least. Personally, I use Invyr Drop Holy Pandas only in my main boards. It's my preferred switch currently. I use leftovers to make switches for my display boards.
