I got these in cyanide for a board I was building and I think I liked them more in theory/appearance than I actually do, but that goes for most translucent keycaps due to the material(s) they're made of. Something about how they feel on my fingertips isn't my fav. They're pretty and I haven't used them so much that I have the legends wearing off issue, but that's something to keep in mind. Probably best used on boards you wouldn't use too often.
Bought a long time ago but I did not write a review, I used them for about 6 months and by the 2 month mark, all wasd keys plus n,m and a few others had already fade in.
Keycaps are decent and look good if it was not for that issue, I could not return because I bought in the US but I live in another country so shipping to the US would be even more expensive than the keycaps themselves.
These were a great quality cap for a great price, I got the smoke caps to match my smoked Portico 75 keyboard and it flows perfectly. Have had these caps for a couple years now, and they haven’t worn down or rubbed off any letters!
Pleasantly surprised by the thickness and legend quality
I was sort of worried that these were going to be pretty thin keycaps, but the quality is a lot better than I had imagined. It's basically what I'm used to from DCX and GMK and other high quality cherry profile keycaps. Really the only thing I need is a frosted black keyboard to use these with. I love the transparent plastic look, and I've wanted these for years. So finally having my hands on them is great.
If you have some switches that you want to show off, this is the way to do it. I'll be buying multiple sets of these and using my switches to theme my board. These are great. They look really good. I love the feel of them and they are a joy to type on. The quality is really nice too. These ended up looking and feeling better than I thought they would. Photos don't do them justice in my opinion. I got the artic on top of some blueberry swirl switches and *chef's kiss
also, pro tip, wash ya dirty hands when you type. Don't eat food while you use your keyboard. Oily digits make legends fade much faster. WASH YOUR HANDS
They look great on the keyboard, but I ended up stopping using them because I started to notice that the legends on some keys began to wear off after a few months of use.
