Well the saga continues... So I ordered a full beige and triumph set including numpads/novelties. They were mostly okay but the main problem was the triumph numpad was missing a number. I spoke to support and they sent out some replacement. However, once they arrived there was no numpad set so I was still missing a key.
Now, the actual numpad is apparently ready for collection in the UK...
After I pay a 63.46GBP!!! Customs Fee?!?!?!
That is around 3 times the cost of the numpad. Someone has fucked up somewhere, I am guessing it wasn't marked as a warranty item but I will find out tomorrow. But overall not impressed and it has definitely put me off buying more as I was going to get the RGB kit, don't think I will bother now.
Had the customs ordeal happen to me too, I emailed CS and was told to pay the dues and to then show proof of it to them and they would refund me. I did and was refunded pretty much right away, as it should as it was definitely an error on their end.
Yeah that is pretty much what happened. Would have saved them and me hassle if they sent out the first order properly, the first replacements properly and the second replacements properly though lol...
Did you have to pay customs when you received the keycaps the first time around? Trying to get an idea what I should prepare for...
I did indeed but that is understandable and I was expecting it. I think it was around 55GBP for around 300USD of caps.
That's a reasonable sounding amount for $300 worth of stuff, was getting worried it would have been more as you said the numpad alone cost an arm and a leg haha. Thanks for the heads up!
Yeah, it was pretty much what I thought I would have to pay after using a customs calculator.
Regarding the numpad issue, it is because they marked down the full order value of ~300USD on the package despite the actual replacement only being worth 25USD... Not very helpful.
