Bottom row is totally wrong (if you actually want to use this for the G80-1800!)
Apparently I am the only person who bought this kit hoping to use it on an actual Cherry G80-1800 like I thought it was for! If you are looking at the 1800 kit for use on a standard keyboard (and I'm not sure why you would), then it may work. But don't be fooled into believing this kit is meant for use on the keyboard the kit is named after!
Unfortunately, even a cursory glance at the stock Cherry G80-1800 will show that the bottom row is 1-1-1-6-1-1-1-1 i.e. the Ctrl, Win, and Alt keys are all 1u wide. This keycap set comes with 1.5u wide R4 keys which may be more common on keyboards generally but won't fit an unmodified 1800. The spacebar provided is 6.25u but won't fit because the G80-1800 takes a 6u. I've been forced to cobble together parts from other MT3 sets I own (and keep the spacebar that came with the keyboard!), and this is entirely unacceptable. If the care had been taken to ensure that the proper keycap sizes were included, then it could have been a great product. But with the keycaps provided you will really have no choice but to order a custom PCB!
This keycap set feels and sounds great and has a classic look. Be advised though, the other current listing for /dev/tty has the R5 bottom row if you're into that.
These keycaps feel like they got that gorilla grip. Ordered another set in a different color for my other keyboard. Please send help for my addiction. 10/10 they also look PFG.
These are my favourite keycaps. I've got these on two different keyboards and wish I had them on a third! I got my first set when they were initially released and the second very recently. They feel fantastic, especially compared to the original keycaps and a set of ABS ones I used before getting the second set. My only complaint is that there is no longer an option of an ISO set, which is why I don't have them on a third keyboard (in the initial release they were available as an ISO set, so I have that set on an ISO keyboard, and recently got a set for an identical, but ANSI format version of the same keyboard.
I wasn't super sure about typing on a MT3 set, at first, but they look nice in my opinion, so I gave one a shot, and the sculpt of these keycaps has really grown on me
