Product Description
One of the most sought-after keycap sets of the past decade is back for another round. It’s called Retro—and this time, it’s available in our exclusive MT3 profile. Designed by Matt3o and inspired by the Commodore 64 (C64) computers of the 1980s, Retro earns its name with old-school hues and timeless appeal. It also features side-printed PETSCII legends found on the original C64 systems for extra authenticity. Wildly successful in both DSA- and SA-profile runs, this signature set now showcases a throwback feel to go with its classic look. Also created in collaboration with Matt3o, our exclusive MT3 profile features scooped, slanted keycaps modeled after beamspring terminals from the 1970s. It’s a vintage experience with a modern touch—just like the rest of Retro. Made from durable doubleshot ABS, this is one set that may be on your board long enough to become truly retro.
Loving those front-printed legends and alpha colors - any chance for an inclusive kit or extra mod kits that would make for an all monochrome set in the alpha colors (like breadbin C64s had)?
AlexPkWhy are blanks so rare in MT3? One would imagine that they are the easiest to make. I have /dev/tty in both Bleached and Triumph Bleached and have 3277 Ergo and Blanks on order. I'd love to buy more.
TenicioBelDoroFrom what I understand based on conversations is the current issues with the supply chain means having to prioritize what gets made and when. At the most hand wavey level, the decision is, "do we go ahead with printing this set or use up materials and labor to print this set" (blanks in this case), and typically the choice has been that it's a better use of time to prioritize the other things.
So in a world where everything is working right we would love to have blanks on offer, but that's just not the case right now.
is there any reason why the iso kit does not have front printed legends?

Right? Weird considering the C64 had the quote mark on the number 2 key, just like UK ISO, and a dedicated £ key. You wind up losing some PETSCII symbols if you try to make this more true to the original layout.
More details on kits and such will be uploaded in the next few days, but yes the colors will be brown alphas, red mods, and then the green hobbyist kit.
