Very nice set
Love this key cap set. MT3 is going to take some getting used to but feels very nice to type on. 10/10 would recommend.

AdexusKBD75V2 from KBDFANS.com. They are located and ship from China. If you live in the states i would buy it from Mechanicalkeyboards.com they have very fast shipping. 160 for the diy kit, no switches or keycaps included.

KNichols72Ahhhh I've been looking at those! I live in the UK unfortunately so don't have many options without paying a lot of import tax. Super nice build though man, I've got the key caps coming any day now so just looking for something nicer than my Drop Alt to out them on.

AdexusI’d say any KBD would be a step up from a drop board, not that they’re bad boards by any stretch. But KBD boards have solid heavy cases that def feels quality and the acoustics are very nice for the price point. I’d def recommend picking one up.

KNichols72Yeah I don't doubt that they're better than Drops boards, I mainly got this because the EU warehouse was closing down and I snagged one for $130 so I couldn't resist, I think I'd be happy enough with it if it was the high profile but since you can't get the case for that in a normal black/space grey looking at going for a custom of some sorts, looks like KBDFans may be the way to go!

AdexusTake a drop board apart and look at the PCB, then get something like a DZ65RGB and look at the PCB, you'll see who just autotraces and who actually puts time into PCB design. :) I only looked at original ALT's though.

SpikeophantYeah I saw a MechMerlin Drop build video and he pointed it out, to be honest though I'm not fussed what the PCB looks like but at the same time if I was to pay a lot for a custom then it better have a nice looking one! I've got the Off white Alt High Profile case arriving in a couple of days to go with the key caps, just need some new stabs and then this one will be complete and I'll be doing a full custom next time which I'm already looking forward to.

AdexusI get the not caring about PCB looks, I just feel like at their price point they should be putting this attention to detail in there. I mean don't get me wrong, I buy a lot of stuff off Drop, and typically love it.

SpikeophantOh yeah would absolutely agree if I paid full price for my Alt, got my Alt for a very good price though (£90) so don't mind too much, figured I'd make this board as good as it can be and then build something else later on down the line.

AdexusBe careful out there, it's a dark rabbit hole, I have more keyboards than I know what to do with now. :)
