Please open at a more blue collar friendly price on these, I can’t justify a $100 purchase of jeans, 60 is much more reasonable for pants you can’t try on beforehand.

Mschw$60 for a pair of jeans? Try like $15. We're supposed to be saving money here!

Gadgetguru63well I’m sure with all the buzzwords and SEO there will be it’ll be organic Japanese selvedge denim spun by looms from the 1800 with 24k gold thread so I wasn’t setting my price hopes too high lol

MschwOver $60 is just not reasonable, I’d rather pay less than that and order a pair of lightly used ones

MschwHey Max - messaged received loud and clear. Me - I have bought jeans that cost $25, & I have paid upwards of $800 for a pair of jeans. I am an enthusiast & collector. In Japan they call my type a ‘denim-maniaco’. We are building a best in class product for many of our enthusiast community members; that includes Japanese production, & yes on, Japanese vintage shuttle looms, with top of the line hardware and meticulous detailing - these are their priorities, and as you have indicated, not yours. The best we can do is point you to our commerce side for now, AND let you know that DROP IS working to give you that ‘just a jean, but what a jean’ in the coming future.

john.webbCommerce side? You mean the collabs with USGD and selling some other premium jean company pants, right? I’ve bought jeans that were on sale for $10 (and they’ve really held up) and $100 Banana Republic Traveller’s Jeans. I guess the Abercrombie & Fitch jeans were up there in price too, but I was super unimpressed with the price for “distressed” (aka pre-damaged jeans that were going to rip and wear out faster). Meanwhile I probably wear the Banana Republic jeans more than any other right now, but over the years I’ve only justified three pairs (and one warranty exchange that wore out in half a year). I could possibly be convinced into a quality jean, but sight-unseen (undemo’d) with I believe a no-refunds return policy and high prices is a bit of a barrier to entry. Still, curious how this will turn out.

EvshrugCommerce side - meaning non-collab side of our business - with brands like Sage, Slate and more commercial brands like WESC. BR can make a sold pair of jeans, they have had incredible designers as denim leads. And yes, many times distressed jeans are half-lifed to get their worn in look, especially with compromises in fabric and build quality from the start in their pre-wash raw form. We have been wear-testing the Mens Drop Jeans and ALL very happy campers; it would be so great to rank a stand-out no. 1 of no. 4 justifiable pairs.

john.webbWell, the A&F jeans weren’t just half-lifed, in addition to that they abraided and cut holes in the fabric. Not just a little, many of the ones in the store would show plenty of skin, and I’m just not cute enough to pull that off! I have a bad habit of ripping open my pants at weddings (3x! Including my own wedding!), but only one of those was a pair of (well worn Old Navy) jeans. BR the traveler and stretch jeans have been nice to me ツ Who knows though, these might be my best jeans ever. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Maybe you know, to some extent, but I’ll just have to wait and see.

EvshrugI noticed the same problems at weddings with tailored suit pants! Figured it out though... The more I drink (apparently), the more I dance. Now, that left me victim of the DJ and the chosen music... Yes, there is a 'list' of verboten tunes… RIPPED PANTS ARE CLEARLY THE DJ'S FAULT (with a teeny tiny bit of blame on the alcohol). So, next wedding (if the DJ is decent) wear Carhartt coveralls.
