These sets are way too expensive, plus, there is no price tier.
Sorry, I'll have to pass. Someone is ripping us off here.

leoparderWay too expensive compared to what? The XDA Milestone alphas cost $30~ at Keyclack, which is the only other XDA buy that's happened thus far, and the alphas there did not come with the F row keys as those were in a kit of their own branded TKL. The modifiers cost $20 and again, only included the modifiers necessary for a 60% board rather than including arrow keys and function keys as they do in this buy.
So... Who's ripping you off here? And this is way too expensive compared to what? If you have any argument to be made I look forward to reading it.

VigrithPsychological reasons might be:
Made in China doesn't have the same reputation like made in the USA (SP) or made in Germany (GMK). New profile, new producer, reputation not known or well enough explained. So far no given drop points which is uncommon for a gb this scale. Betas had been made in a "hurry", because people were not happy before.
I'm not judging, just trying to understand!

MakamiAbsolutely, your points are absolutely fair and I agree with all of them to a certain extent.
Regarding China, there are so many good Asian businesses/individuals out there when it comes to keys/keyboards nowadays that I feel almost as confident purchasing something made by Master Control than I do SP (whose DCS caps are terribly thin for example, whose SA caps start to shine fairly rapidly, etc). Same goes for other people like Kin25 who makes all the TX keyboards which are of ridiculously high quality, Oddforge, Varmilo, the creator/manufacturer of the ZZ96 and other ZZ boards whose name escapes me right now, etc.
I agree that there isn't much known regarding the profile yet as it is brand new and I agree that it may lead people to feel flaky, totally understandable. Same with how quickly Betas kit had to be whipped up, I haven't looked into that at all because I'm not interested in the centre legends but you're right regardless.
Drop points would be awesome but in my opinion the prices are already decent, I'm personally in for Alphas, Icon Mods, Dieter Rams, Bauhaus Icon mods, Mono Kit, Spacebars and Small Spacebars and that's setting me back around $160 with shipping. Comparing that to the $170 I spent on Alphas, 40s and Novelties/labs ONLY (didn't even buy modifiers because mixing and matching Novelties and 40s I have enough keys to cover all my boards) when Godspeed came around a few months ago I'd say the prices here are reasonable. Who would say no to drop points, though?
edit: fixed a number that I misplaced.

MakamiYou pay what you get, so what is the problem? They did not charge twice as much as the price. As far as I have seen, I can get pretty good keys more than I am paying.

santoskumaWell, honestly spoken i'm not getting the point of what you want to tell me.
Just for the record, i'm in with 11 kits since hours, seems to be i've no problem at all.

VigrithYeah the Made in China propaganda has affected us all in mainly forcing us to remain loyal to our ancestral homelands being Europe and the United States (has worked quite effectively).
Welcome to a new age where the majority of products are now all made in China and their keyboards and key-caps far out number any other countries production. The quality of Chinese manufacturing has been elevated from the old years to match Taiwanese construction. I have no qualms about buying Chinese products now because on average they will last as long as any other product coming from either Germany or US.
