Well made caps in a killer colorway
I'd say these are closer to a 9/10 than a 4/5, but not quite a 10. TL;DR: They look good, they feel good, they fit properly; these are solid keycaps and this colorway is rad. Here it is on a purple Portico, sitting on a Bob Ross deskmat:
search

Mm. Dat purple.

This colorway in particular is rich and striking, and I think it looks fantastic on a board. As a point of novelty, the distribution of the colors is not identical to its MT3 counterpart - this set is a thoughtful re-interpretation of the colorway in context of DCX rather than a straight key-for-key port. I think it works really well. Quality and material feel is on-par with the ABS MT3 sets, coming from the same manufacturer. That is, generally exceptional quality with rare lapses in quality-control, accounted-for with a customer-friendly return policy. Maybe not perfect, but I don't think a patient customer can possibly loose-out here.

These are ABS and everything that entails, so if you're not down with shine over time, stick with pure PBT - it's just the nature of that type of plastic. While they will shine, just like any reasonably thick ABS set they won't wear-out... unless, I dunno, you have the most caustic hand oils in the world and type 24/7 for literal years. In terms of the profile, it took me just a little bit to get fully acclimated coming straight from Cherry, but it's plenty familiar and approachable. By that I mean I had zero problems, vanishingly-little awkwardness, and it took a few hours over a couple days to get back up to my average WPM after moving to the profile. From there it's been feeling completely natural to me. DCX is genuinely distinct from Cherry, but probably the closest thing to it that isn't a clone of the profile at this point. From what I understand about the design goals here, this is basically a perfect success. Noice. For me, this profile is a welcome alternative to existing options, offering its own distinctions while largely maintaining established conventions, and this is probably the most fun colorway it comes in right now.

The packaging is very good, if a little understated on the outside for such a loud colorway. Inside the black-on-black cardboard box are a series of nested trays that hold each individual cap in-place; no scratches or gouges from sliding in troughs or bouncing in bags. The cardboard part is good physically speaking, like 7 or 8/10 for that sort of thing, but the plastic part inside (imo the important part) is 10/10, excellent, industry-leading, heck-yeah, everybody-else-take-notes kind of good. Well - MelGeek's MCR actually comes in pretty much equivalent excellent packaging - but all the other major manufacturers I've gotten caps from are way behind when it comes to the trays that sets come in and/or the space they take up. Per-key trays are nothing new, but those have traditionally been big, flat blister packs that stink to store - these neatly stack and fit in a nice small box. Perfect. (As an aside I'd love if MT3 moved to something like this; I like not having the shreddy paperboard while also reliably protecting the caps.)

Truly minor nitpick; there's a hint of inconsistency with some of the color. I'm not sure if that comes down to surface, pigment, the color of the other shot being underneath the whole cap, something else entirely, or some combination, but it's there. --- I should put an *asterisk on this; I'm literally trained to spot this sort of thing and work in a field where it's important. In my experience most people will probably not perceive a difference like this, I'm just mentioning it for the few folks it may actually matter to. I can see it, but this set is just so fun to look at that I don't care at all - but a specifically obsessed person (or the rare tetrachromat) might appreciate more rigid consistency. FWIW I think the consistency here is notably better than at least one of the top / most well-known keycap manufacturers; it's quite good. Now... I just need to find the perfect yellow keyboard.

Very nice, but lacking vital kits/keys
Since most user pictures seem to mute the green accents i was worried how they would turn out. If you have this concern you can rest assured that the green looks way better in person. One of the reasons I decided to buy this kit was because i saw the designer mention that spacebar kits are planned. Mr. MiTo(&Drop!), please please please follow through with this (and including an extra 'B' with the spacebars would be awesome)! Also huge thank you to Drop for DCX supporting hhkb layout from the get-go. This will make sure i can reuse these kits on different builds. Looking forward to new designs!

justAndrewWe are working on the extra 'B'. Hopefully won't take too long to get that implemented.

Great keycap set! Some QC needed

Let me start things off by saying this is my first keycap set that is not a clone and that is above $40. When the package came in, it looked amazing. Very well packaged and had a premium feel to it. I recently installed the keycaps and not only do they feel amazing, they sound out of this world. I really do recommend this to anyone, specially if you are looking for a purple themed keycap set like I was. However, it is not all positives with this keycap set. Firstly, for the price I paid for this set, I would've liked a couple novelty keys. Even just one would have sufficed (I ended up using a novelty ESC key from a cheap set I bought earlier on. Second, and arguably more important, there seems to be a slight quality control issue. My "F" key came in with a little purple smudge going over the text. It is not the end of the world, but again, for a premium set I expect this to not ever be an issue. Overall, I really recommend this set!

DCX is great, the Cyber aesthetic - even better
search
I'm very happy with the inclusions in the set - this is more comprehensive than a GMK set (at least for my usage) The aesthetic is great - this is a great set for any board hitting the vast majority of keys (barring an F13, but that's super niche anyway) , but it also is good for split backspace and HHKB layouts too!

Pretty decent alternative, preferable at a lower price point.
I would dare to say, for this price, I rather go with a PBTFans set instead. This ones have an OK quality but nothing remarkable or outstanding, although their finish is well done and have no flaws at all, only minor visual details like the one visible on the Left Shift key that makes it look like if the letters "f" and "t" had a wider separation than the rest of the characters, the Enter key also have a slightly visible "disturbance" that makes it look like the mould was not in good state or something similar. Lastly, I have been using this set for around four months or so, light use mostly for typing occasionally at night while chatting with my friends on Discord and a few gaming sessions, and they already have some shine on it, mostly noticeable on the caps I use when playing, T, F, H, B. If you can get them at a discounted price, I think they are OK, otherwise it is a hard decision.

Super clean legends
Bought together with a GMK set. Comparable quality and sounded great on my Bubble75. Really like how the colour pops on the purple base mixed with other colour legends.

Space Bar Sticks and Support Wouldn't Help [RESOLVED]
I had an issue with this set where the space bar would stick. We tried the spacebar on a GMMK Pro as well as a Keychron V1 and got the same results. At the same time, the space bar from the DCX Hyperfuse and Camillo sets worked fine and freely. Support team was adamant that it is a 'keyboard tolerance issue' and emphasised that all these keycaps are made from the same mold. I was not able to get anything even after offering to share video proof of one DCX spacebar working and the other not working. They added $10 to my drop account, which while I do appreciate, does not resolve the fact that my new purple keycaps will now end up with a black stock space bar :/ EDIT: After posting this review the management reached out and sent through a replacement DCX Cyber Set. I've received it this morning and can confirm that the new spacebar works flawlessly. Although I love the keycap range I'm keeping my review limited to 3/5, as Drop should be more diligent in quality control for these items (there would be a lot of customers who would simply accept the 'keyboard tolerance issue' excuse). 10/10 would buy again still :)

shoodlenoodleIt could be the weight of the keycap, if the spring inside of the switch isn't strong enough it might not come all the way back up after you push it. Happened to me and I changed out spring with a different switch and it worked just fine.

Text could be a little cleaner
Awesome colorway, amazing coverage for different layouts, but the yellow enter key on mine wasnt super clean. The text on those keys could be a little more legible and bold. I think it's planned to be addressed in future runs of DCX?

Good enough for a ripperdoc
Beautiful purple base color, with the neon green almost looking luminescent on it. The accent pinks, especially on the Shift keys, are less crisp. Yellow keycaps are gorgeous and give a pop to the set without going over the top (especially as you can use them sparingly with duplicate purple/green keys included). I like the DCX feel, it's more old-school but not the absolutely most ergonomic for extended coding sessions.

Awesome quality
Great colors, crisp legends. Awesome colorway. Only thing that would make this better would be novelties. I really hope they add novelties in the future for this set.
