It seems that if I'm in love with these keycaps I will need a keyboard to put them on. Any suggestions? I'm looking for Cherry Brown switches, 87-key or smaller size, compatibility with the Cyberdeck kit (so no super-weird key layouts), solid (metal) construction, minimal key wiggle, and a backlight (assuming a backlight would work with these caps). The current Pok3r drop hits these marks, so maybe that's the one? But the programmability functions aren't important to me so I thought maybe I'd solicit other suggestions as well. Thanks in advance for the help!
If you don't mind non-cherry MX switches, I'm typing this on a Drevo Excalibur with MX Reds right now. It meets all your criteria, and I personally love it. It was the cheapest keyboard I could find that 1) Came with MX Reds (also can get Browns or Blues) 2) Had a metal case 3) Full LED backlighting 4) Standard sized keys (was going to get the Vortex Race 3 until I saw that terrible delete key) 5) Arrow keys (and full number and function rows) while still having the look of a 60% keyboard (arrow keys were the most important for me, and why I picked this keyboard in the end, as it's very hard to find a good looking 60/65/75/TKL keyboard with arrow keys, AND has all of the above things, AND only costs 65 bucks. The only downside is the keycap font is god-awful looking, but this drop will completely fix that.
If you don't mind a custom kit, look at the KBDFans 75. You'd have to pick up Cherry Browns separately, but KBDFans offers both normal and silenced Gateron Browns, which are better IMO. It's almost the TKL layout, but more compact. It's also got super solid construction. It has RGB underglow, and support for in-switch single color LEDs for backlighting.
kbd75. You can get it built by them if you dont want to solder yourself.
