zipeldiabloDo you mean are the legends shine through? If so: no, they're not. But backlighting will still show around the key. Here's a decent example of (what looks to be) GMK keys on a backlit keyboard: http://i.imgur.com/31Gcqfd.jpg
KonjungamoI wouldn't call a white keyset decent especially with a black keyboard lol but thanks for the try anyway.
No point buying a keyset with no design imo.
If they can laser print the key they can laser remove the paint to let the light go through, i don't understand what's so hard about it.

There is some other choices, there are various black, clear or semi-clear caps as well, but that's really about all there is.
You are wrong in your last sentence though, these are not laser-etched caps, they are double-shot.
Laser is just the name of the keyset, all GMK caps consist of two different pieces of plastic, one for the cap itself and one for the legend.
I can't really tell you why there are not that many "designs" that feature backligh-compatible keycaps other than that the demand is probably not high enough and people are content with what's being offered at the moment.
zipeldiabloThese aren't painted or printed. They are solid purple plastic.
I don't see how white makes a keycap set low quality, just because you don't like the color.
zipeldiabloYour words were "I wouldn't call a white keyset decent" so I'm sorry, color doesn't make a key set not decent. Obviously I see the difference since I'm dropping a couple hundred $ on this but I don't need them to be shine through. Looks better on a backlit board without so you can see the natural colors of the caps better, surrounded by the backlighting on the edges of the cap.
zipeldiabloIt's because shine through sucks - the excess light takes away from what makes GMK sets special which is their amazing colours that allow for designs such as this one. Why would you buy something like this if you want to obfuscate it with some random lights.
BlueCrownedDecent might not have the same sense for me than it does for you, also it seems you are not using backlit the same way as i do (which is lit the key only when i press it).
VigrithIt sucks because your backlit is always on, i don't have any issue.
Why would i buy a backlit keyboard and obfuscate the lights with non-see through keys? That doesn't make any sense.
The all point is to be able to see which key was pressed, not having some fancy light bothering me when i'm playing.
