They look great and go greath with the CSTM80, I got them for christmas and couldnt be happier, they look awesome and make the keyboard a lot better looking, just know that there is no transparent parts for any RGB (or other) lighting to go through the keycaps, so watch out for that if you really need to look at every single key (Packaging was a bit poor, but its nothing fragile, so not a big deal)
Pick these up on a whim and have to say, I love them. The pink color of the arrow keys is even more vibrant in person - they really pop. The ABS feels good and there is a super slight (almost not noticeable) texture to the tops. Designs are crisp and installing was a breeze. Overall, would recommend for a burst of 80's nostalgia.
I need to go and pick up those space bars now!
Fun novelties, including pink/orange arrow keys and a Enter and Esc with hot greenish-yellow lettering. Even if you don't have the matching GMK Laser Keycaps, these novelties could spice up a boring keycap set. Wait for it to go on sale, though.
We all know GMK has potato trays, even Drop knows this- but they still poorly shipped this. Do better to protect your customers purchases if you want them to buy more.
You'd think with the dozen of reviews and pictures exactly like this one that they would do something about it. NOPE.
Got this on sale for 19 purchased during a promotion with an additional 30 off a larger order.
Docking two stars because its not like they take any sort of guidence from these forums.
Docking one star because of constantly changing prices on every product.
Probably my last purchase before the revise their free shipping threshold from 125 to 100$. The hoops and maths that must be performed to get the best deal is no longer worth the effort.
Dont need guidence. Its not the point. The first time I ordered a keyboard kit from drop they crammed keycaps into a bag and tossed it in the box wedged between the case and the metal plate. Yes the plate bent. Its not terrible but now some of my sockets wont work with certain switches and a bunch of switches pop out of the board with the keycap attached. Its not what I was expecting for a 180$ order. Why are we paying such a premium for basically the worst shipping options ever from a company that says it ships from within the US?
JbearzBut you took a star out due to the lack of "guidance" right? I am all in with you about Drop consisting mostly on garbage products, but truth be told, whenever I had bad issues with one of their products, I contact their support and they either refunded me, or offered a replacement. Moreover, the review is just about the caps, not the rest of your experience with Drop. Also, 180 is not premium o.O
This one was a joint effort; GMK packed these keycaps in packaging barely better than a plastic baggie, and Drop chose to ship them in the wrong box, with the wrong protection:

This is how they arrived to me, in a box with packing that allowed them to shift around a lot during transit. If you cant see it, the plastic wrap is still on them in the pic. Thankfully none of them were scratched, so I got kinda lucky there. At $55 for the base price of these Novelties, hell at any price AFAIC, everyone involved needs to do better with packaging.
Still, if you're looking to add to your Laser set, or want to accent a WoB kit you have, these are a good get... just do so at your own risk.
Solid keyset though the keys vary in heights so be aware the only improvement would be if they would show backlighting.
I've written up a detailed review here https://dancocos.com/2024/12/27/DOIO-kb-16.html
