Hey everyone,
So here's an overdue update about the Drop + Mito Laser ALT High-Profile Keyboard. I've been running around trying to collect information for the past couple days because I'd like to give you as complete of a picture of what's going on here.
It has just come to my attention that our contract manufacturer that makes the ALT High-Profile keyboard (as well as the Laser version) has informed us that production is significantly backlogged and the boards/cases aren't finished. I'm sure this frustrates you as much as it frustrates me, as these were supposed to be ready many months ago. I've yet to get a firm commitment for when they're going to be ready; but with Lunar New Year coming up, we're almost certainly talking about months, not weeks.
Obviously this is unacceptable. We're aggressively pursuing alternative options to get these boards made and shipped as soon as possible, and will update you once we have a solution- update expected by early next week.
I don't want to appear to be shifting blame here. This isn't our contract manufacturer's fault, this is our fault. We choose our partners, we have our operations, and ultimately a combination of those have failed to deliver this product in a remotely timely manner.
So here's what we're going to do moving forward.
1) All participants who have been involved in this situation will receive a $50 credit on their drop.com account that they can use towards any future purchase.
2) Anyone who doesn't want to keep waiting can obtain a full refund by contacting customer service (you will still keep the $50 credit mentioned above). This option will remain available until the situation is resolved.
3) We will be going above and beyond to make this right. The particulars of what that means are still being ironed out but you can expect a special bonus to look forward to. We'll let you know what that will be ASAP.

KevinThanks for the update. Unfortunate to hear about yet another delay, but I'll be waiting it out. I ordered the keycaps which are about to ship and nothing else will really match this board, so...

KevinSo what is the most realistic release date of this? Considering it's already been more than half a year since the group buy ended and more than a month past the original shipping date. Considering you're basically saying we're expected to wait months past the date, it would be nice to at least have some kind of estimate (even a rough one) to help put alleviate some concerns.

ThornkinIn retrospect I should have asked if anyone wanted mine, but I ordered the keycaps separately so it would have just been the case+board+switches (I had selected Halo Trues).

Whats a Smooth, Thoccy Tactile?
I just ordered all of the parts for my dream keyboard, (Spr67 blue and DCX Sapphire) except for the switches. I’ve built a few other keyboards before and enjoy thoccy keyboards. However, I love the little bump you get when clicking tactile switches. But I also love deep, thoccy switches. All I’m curious about is a good, thoccy tactile for a reasonable price (below $45 for 70/72). I also would prefer it either pre-lubed or just smooth in general. Any help is greatly appreciated!

How to remap the MO(1) key?
When I open the DROP app with my CTRL V2, I see that Layer 0 has MO(1) mapped to the key two right of the spacebar amd Application mapped to the key three right of the spacebar. I want to put MO(1) three right of the spacebar, but I could not find MO(1) in the list of possibilities after successfully unlocking my keyboard. Any hints for me? Does MO(1) have a different name? By the way, MO(1) acts just like the FN key, meaning that I hold it down and press Q, W, etc. to change the RGB lighting.
