Does anyone have a solution to the pingy sound of this board? I use Tealios v2 (unlubed) on this board and I can hear a huge ping sound for each keystroke. I'm referring to the reverb sound produced by the aluminum case and plate mount, not the sound of stock switch springs. I'm not a heavy typer and do not hear such noticeable ping sounds on my other boards. p.s. I tried putting a Sorbothane sheet between the pcb and back case as some have suggested on Reddit. This dampened the ping sound a little bit but I can still hear it. Maybe I should try putting an extra layer between the pcb and plate mount?

dispirisSame here and I had to lube the Tealios to make the ping sound go away. Originally I didn't plan to do that (too much work and I have to spend another $20 on this? lol). I tried putting a thick mat underneath the keyboard and it didn't work at all. At the end I did lube all the switches and the ping sound went away. On top of that, typing feels even better now - but that could be me imaging it since I've put in all the hard work. Anyway, I would lube the switches.

blueroom5I planned to lube my switches when I bought them (and spent $30 on the 3204 lube) but haven't done so. I tried lubing a couple of them but noticed they slowed down a little afterwards. So I decided not to lube them because I play rhythm game occasionally and don't want to lose the stock speed. But, to be honest, I probably wouldn't notice the minor speed difference anyways. So I'll lube my switches some time and see if the ping sound goes away. Thanks for the suggestion!

dispirisyou may be using too much lube if they feel sluggish or like they're catching. I'm currently typing on Tealios v2 lubed with 3204 aswell and i'd say it doesn't change how the switch actuates. Also, while it's pretty difficult to get the foam to fit if you use a thicker foam, I managed to get it to work and it made a massive difference! also, if you havent done this already, swap to some cherry plate mount stabs. Make sure you clip the legs, and lube the housings. that'll get rid of all the ping on the keys with stabs. After doing all the mentioned mods, i only get a nice smooth switch sound :)

dispirisI have the ALT HP not this purple one but the silver. I also have tealios v2 lubed with tribosys 3202 (however you spell it) and I also had put foam dampening material inside. It still pings, the only thing I found that helps more than all that is placing the board on top of a thicker mouse/desk pad. Although, I didn't stick with that because the deeper sounding "thock" goes away completely. That pinging is just a side effect of an all aluminum board and also the echo of your room plays a big part in it believe it or not. Sound absorbing panels really do help with all that but a more expensive route.
