I have the black ALT version of this at work and love it, so I jumped at the opportunity to get the Laser. Beautiful all around, great construction; yes the adonized purple could be darker but I think it looks great.
UPDATE: was able to eventually get my keyboard configuration downloaded from Configurator, and get that loaded into the keyboard. Software not super intuitive or user friendly but once you get it loaded, it works reliably.
daverogersHi Dave,
Can you let me know if the online configurator times out or does not download. I want to help troubleshoot as I tried it this morning and it was able to download and I am also asking our engineering team to see if there is a log of when it may have gone down. As well, for the keyboard, was it unable to get into the "DFU Mode" for pairing? Sorry to hear that you weren't able to get it working (especially as it is a bit unintuitive) but I might be able to help you troubleshoot.
daverogersI just received this keyboard the other day - early June 2020. Was able to use the configurator and update the firmware right after purchase without issue (following the somewhat cumbersome process). Win10.
Anyhow just a data point for anyone interested.
Also, if anyone reads this - purple case looks definitely purple out of the box (maybe a dark-ish lavender in low light?). In bright light or dark/RGB conditions, it looks light lavender -- heavily depending on the RGB used. I actually wish it were a little lighter in shade -- but to each their own. . . . I read in a review that it looks blue? Which it does not, ever. But, that's just me.
richardgaosorry it took me so long to get back here. i did get it to work when i went back, very well could've just been that i was trying to use it at time when a lot of other people were. once i got that i got it working. i wish the software were easier, but i know Drop is just using an open source project that itself isn't that intuitive or user friendly lol.
