Very excited to introduce our latest collaboration with Noctua of Austria and that beautiful creamy brown aesthetic as designed by the one and only MiTo.  Just in case anyone wasn't already a fan, Noctua is the king of keeping it cool. Founded in 2005 to produce high quality CPU and case coolers, Noctua has since dominated the sector with their various product lines. Brandishing their athene noctua avatar, the company continually strives to create the most efficient and silent fans possible.  But industry leading performance aside, one of their most distinguishing features is the unique brown color scheme. In a world where your choices are flat black and RGB PC rave, Noctua sets itself apart with a more classic look. A look that designer MiTo has worked with Noctua and manufacturers for months to recreate precisely. Featuring a parliament of novelties and your choice of themed deskmat(coming soon on this one), this set is sure to be a silent killer on your desk.   Mmm nothing like a fresh batch of puns in the morning. Cheers everyone and let’s goooo
(Edited)
And in case anyone asks, the delivery date is that far out because the manufacturer has to make new injection molds for the Novelty set which takes a bit of time.

Welcome to MT3 Noctua! 🦉 DROP is the home of licensed Noctua keycap sets. Highlights of the project:
  • Licensed by Noctua, in Austria
  • 1st MT3 doubleshot community designed set and it features doubleshot novelties
  • DEL key inside the Base Kit with no aditional cost (as it should be)
Special thanks to my Discord community for assisting me with the project, I hope you are excited. For updates about this project you can stay tuned to this comment or join my Discord server for more, links below! Leave any questions below and I answer accordingly. Noctua fans, rejoice! 🦉🤎

Appreciate the transparency. Idk if this is possible, but can you post pictures of the color match samples that were finally approved. I think of a lot of season keebs folks been burned in the past through joining GB based on renders. I don't want new comer to hobbies to experience the same thing.

Unfortunately I don't have apropriate photographic gear nor access to a studio, and please note that even studio/color corrected pictures could be misleading as colors vary depending on lighting settings and the displays in which they are seen. I have been in this hobby for 8 years and I know what you mean but again - everything you see in this page and the product itself was analysed by us from top to bottom. We are suported by scientific data from the color measurements/calibrated monitors and didn't launch the sale until we had confidence in that. Thanks for your interest!

Like I said, towards the end of this year or certainly 2023. Nice one DROP for once again portraying another key-set purchase as 18 days (original) when it should never have been : (
I think I misunderstood your original comment. The ship date has always been later this year? The early preorder pricing is just a bonus to encourage people to join and make sure we have enough people to justify the cost of making the molds and printing the set. Which, at this point has been verified so now it's just the waiting game while the new novelty mold gets milled out and production can begin. The option to buy stays open until it is closer to shipping because why not? Plenty of people will probably stumble on this between now and then, and it doesn't impact anything to let them join. The MT3 line is (typically) much quicker and more under our control to a degree as compared to GMK or SP, so I don't see any reason why things should go past the projected date here. I don't like to say never, because in the past 6 years I have had to update that the warehouse burned down and a factory was destroyed by typhoon among others, but lacking anything severe this set should deliver well before 2023.

I love that you included a Colevrak kit, but lack of R5 still kills this set for me unfortunately.

I don’t think R5 will ever exist in MT3 doubleshot no matter what unfortunately, R5 is exclusive to the dye sublimated tools and that won’t change for the foreseeable years because it would cost an absolute fortune.
As a Noctua fanboy (pun intended), definitely not going to miss this set!
"As a thank-you to early purchasers, we’re offering $10 off until December 17" I got caught by this. It turns out that you can't use this code and the one from your Keyboard Club. That's the sort of thing that should be made clear but is probably hidden in some small print somewhere.
Hmm honestly I just didn't know the codes wouldn't stack, but you're probably right about fine print somewhere. Thanks for pointing that out.

Once again I am deeply saddened of the exclusion of Nordic/German keycaps. When, if ever, will there be Nordic/German keycaps in an MT3 set? Besides that, I absolutely love the colour scheme of Noctua, and with it on a keyboard, aswell as it being MT3(YEEEES!), I can barely contain my glee. But due to the complete lack of Nordic keycaps (like always), I will not be purchasing.

Because there’s no demand for such kits, even if you find 50 other guys like you here it wouldn’t be enough to make the kit viable. It only causes logistics problems for everyone else. If you want custom keycaps just switch to ANSI.

The lack of German keycaps in this set is literally the only reason why I'm not buying this. Especially considering that Noctua is an Austrian company it seems just wrong. And no, I'm not switching to ANSI.

Just realised there is an 18-day time limit. What happens if there is not enough Noctua Love being laid down in orders, with this unique Key-cap set? Will this still go ahead or will this key-cap order, sit around on DROP for another year or so? Hate when that happens, another prime MiTo design being ignored and forgotten by DROP without any reasons or commitment by this company.
Because we have to mill out new molds for this one there isn't much we can do outside of renders unfortunately. Once we have physical sets in hand we'll do our part to make sure everyone knows about it. And I'm all in on this bad boy so it better get made.

The worst thing is the waiting..... constant waiting for a possible Key-set that may never appear in Real Life : ( Possible the end of 2022 or 2023, who knows, it could even stretch forth into 2024. Business 101, fail to provide a product up front means interest dwindles quickly, and the money gets retracted for another purchase elsewhere. DROP has done that before, on some failed Key-sets that had never reached the full numbers in orders. All whilst pretending that they have them at hand or are being produced. Extremely deceitful, but that's the new Business Model for DROP these days. No wonder, KBDfans are far more trustworthy when it comes to promising Key-sets with actual dates being posted, on their storefront.

Instead of wasting time typing about it, bought the whole set. With all the xtras. Simply because I LOVE Noctua products, they stand above all others here. We should also get some Thermalright sets done because they do have some decent Air Cooling kits. Think that Thermalright is far older than Noctua, not sure but DROP should provide some Thermalright keysets as well. No one else has ever provided keysets of such Great Air Cooling Manufacturers in the 20th and 21st centuries.

Regardless of the responsibilities being furled onto myself (at this time of year), I ALWAYS make sure to be in Group Buys that deliver unique key-sets, no matter when or where. Hoping all your wishes come true for this holiday season and a much prosperous 2022.

Not sure why all the MT3 sets are now ABS. No one can seriously prefer it over PBT. Too shiny and slippery without the texture of PBT. I'll stick to Devtty MT3 PBT

Some of us do actually prefer ABS! Besides ABS's deeper and richer colors (and ability to have light legends on dark keys), PBT feels chalky, dry, and unpleasant to me. I don't like the sound it makes compared to ABS.

Just preshine your ABS keys if it bothers you.
