To understand the appeal of MT3 profile, you have to understand its history. Many old computer terminals were constructed with a slanted switch layout from front to back. Because of that slant, the keycaps sat at an angle atop the switches. MT3 profile is a reimagination of that unique slanted build, but optimized for modern keyboards. Based on iconic IBM beamspring terminals of the 1970s, it’s sculpted with a prominent curve that extends across each row. On top of that, MT3 features scooped keys to help orient your fingers on the keyboard. Thanks to some significant design work from Matt3o, meticulous 3D modeling, and invaluable community feedback, it’s been nothing short of a major success.
