Mar 26th Quick update: We don't have a firm estimate on the length of the delay for Pegaso (probably 2-6 weeks, but I'll have more info soon). Progress is being made, here's a sneak peak at some of keycaps from the latest sampling round. [SEE BOTTOM OF POST FOR MORE UPDATES]

April 21st Update:
There's one last color sample that we're waiting for final approval from MiTo from, and tracking shows that it should get to him in Brazil tomorrow. Assuming he OK's it, we're finally good on colors. There were a few legends that needed some tweaking, stroke sizes on some of the novelties, and some alignments that we've requested to be redone so that they're just right. Assuming everything gets confirmed this week, we're expecting the keycaps to be done around May 20th, and they'll get air-shipped to us by the end of May, and shipped to you in early June.
I'm hoping to have more photos of the most recent sample set to post later this week. Thanks for hanging in there everyone!
June 11th Update: All colors for the keycaps have been approved by MiTo. We are waiting on one last round of sampling to get MiTo’s approval on the legends before we go into production. There has been a lot of back and forth between MiTo and the factory with both parties working extremely hard to produce keycaps of the highest quality. Here is MiTo’s post for reference. Currently, we are estimating that MiTo should be receiving the next round of samples beginning of July, after which the factory will be producing the entire run. We can provide a better estimate on delivery date after this new round of samples are okayed. Conservative estimates would put us shipping these keycaps end of July/beginning of August. I’ll provide another update with firm delivery dates once this next set of sampling is finished.
July 31 Update: Mito should be posting an update with photos in the coming days.
September 3rd Update: These are scheduled to ship from the manufacturer on September 15th. Given the usual transit times, I expect these to be in our warehouse and shipping to individuals by September 29th, but will update here if anything changes.
September 23rd update: These were picked up from the manufacturer on Sept 21st, and are making their way to the USA now. New ship date is probably around Oct 6th. Will post another update as soon as they arrive at our warehouse.
October 2nd Update: These are shipping now! Extras going on sale around 10/10
October 14th Update: Most people have received their orders by now. Please leave a review and a photo if you get a chance! We're aware of the issue with the FJ5 homing keys being scooped+barred, instead of separately, and we're talking to the manufacturer to get a fix kit made (i.e. extra, proper, keycaps will be mailed out to all participants when they're available/ready). Since we need to make these fix kits, we'll unfortunately have to delay the sale of the extras until the fix kits are ready, and we'll sell extras (with the fix kits attached). Trying to get an ETA on the fix kits in the next few days.
Nov 22nd Update: They're working on making the homing keys, and once we get them, we'll ship them (for free) to everyone who pre-ordered a set of Pegaso. The manufacturing pipeline is jammed right now with other keycap designs so we're trying to get space for our tiny project/request. Exact ETA is unknown, but hopefully by the end of the year.
Nov 23rd Update: Extras of the Pegaso keycaps will be put up for sale in the next day or so. There's about 250 base kits of extras available. Base kits will not include the "extra" homing keys (that are missing from pre-orders), but they should be available for sale for $5 per set when we get them. Note you don't need them, there are already other homing keys included in the base kit.
KevinI still need to order some Elite Cs to finish my build for my micropad before I can use these keycaps. I'll get started on that right away. I wanted to show off the keyboard when writing at the coffee shop, but those are all closed, so I can wait anyway.
KevinLet us know if there are any extras! Really hoping to get my hands on a base set with novelties, so sad I missed the initial drop, these look stunning!
KevinEstimated shipping on early June... wow. Thank you for the updates and hard work getting these sorted through the pandemic. I'm still a bit salty about the 3 month delay though, guess it can't be helped.
Kevin"we're expecting the keycaps to be done around May 20th, and they'll get air-shipped to us by the end of May, and shipped to you in early June." Did everything goes as planned since this update?
Williamfloyde@Gera Note the reason that the delay is occurring is due to extra rounds of samples to improve the color matching and legend sharpness. MiTo, (and I'm sure everyone) would rather we take the extra time to run more samples than just rush what we have on hand to production.
KevinI don't really mind the delay, especially if it will improve the build quality. I think most of us just wanted to know what was going on. So a late July/early August ship date? At least we know when it is coming.
Here is a picture of my bare board that is waiting for these keycaps.
michaelhuynh93We were/are in production, but some aspects were not satisfactory. As a consequence the timeline was pushed in exchange of a higher degree of quality.
KevinWell, end of July here and Mito is still waiting for samples, what's going on?! Why is it so hard to get updates AT LEAST once a month for GBs that are months behind schedule?
KevinI mean, really Drop? Since Nov 2019 until now, approximately 8 months and we're still waiting for samples to get approved. What've you guys been doing for the last 8 months?
n0izYSome took 2 years till the final delivery. I ordered GMK last October and on the way finally. 8 months sounds just "beginning" to me. I think it is time to be smarter for us!
KevinI am actually surprised there have been actual updates with this Drop, the SA Laser Drop really made you guys look bad, I'm glad you changed the way you update people.
otakutera2Nope, there are no extras for this project. However, I am already working on the follow ups for the DCP profile (Drop Cherry Profile, aka what was used in this drop) with improvements based on reviews. Totally new sets.
RayndalfI was previously informed there would not be extras and then was informed that, in fact, a limited number of units were purchased for resale. Not many cancelations took place from what I was informed.
MiToGuess I should have known that in addition to barely updating buyers Drop would also keep the designer in the dark too.
As a customer base we might be too patient. The responsibility for updates shouldn't fall on a designer using their personal Discord server, but at least it's shipping.
KevinKevin, are you planning to address some of the issues that people have seen with their sets?
Specifically the 2 biggest issues are:
Both sets of F&J keys are incorrect: one set of F&J keys came scooped AND barred and the other set came as plain R3 instead of 1 set scooped and 1 set barred.
ALL beige accent keys are transculent, something about the material is different than the other two colors from the set which are do not have this at all. On a backlit keyboard, the beige keys look like cheap ebay keycaps with the amount of shine through compared to all of the other alphas and mods which have no light bleed at all.
ShiftyXTINot sure about the bar/scoop issue, I haven't seen anyone else report it. Wondering if it's just your set or all of them?
In regards to translucency, keycaps have differing levels of shine-through'ness (some better, some worse)- I doubt we'd remake the entire set for this reason as it's generally not a required specification, but rather an "ideal to have" property.
KevinThe bar/scoop thing is definitely an error as per MiTo's own post on the 10th. Hopefully this can be corrected as the renders all showed either scooped or barred homing, but not scooped+barred or nonhoming.
