OkeerI wonder why the “official drop/mechkeys” account would ask such a question? I guess unless they expect ppl to come to the q&a looking for that answer. If so that’s a decent way to do things.
OkeerThat's laser-etching, the thing dye sublimation ("dyesub") isn't.
Dyesub uses dyes that are, roughly, "baked into" the surface of the keycap. Unlike etching, it works only on PBT and only for dark legends on a lighter background, you can't feel it, and it never wears - the legend is fully incorporated into the plastic. Dyesub and double-/tripleshot are basically the state of the art in keycap marking, and dyesub is (to my knowledge) the only option for XDA-profile sets.
