Hey everyone, To continue what we started with the SA Pulse TKL keycap buy, we are launching a collection of iconic keycap sets from the past for pre-order. The three keycap sets are - GMK Red Samurai by @RedSuns MT3 /dev/tty by @Matt3o XDA Canvas by @Mito For this run of XDA Canvas, the kits contain the bauhau accents as originally envisioned by @Mito. They were meant to add a small splash of color onto an otherwise uniform surface - something that was inspired by many of Dieter Rams' designs. XDA profile also means the kits offered are more modular with the 1800 kit, while also fitting a standard 104-key keyboard. This pre-order is designed to let newcomers (and those who missed the original buy!) that have purchased keyboards like the ALT, CTRL or many of our Ortholinear keyboards, an opportunity to own one of these awesome sets. Please also note, for your early support these sets are currently available at a pre-order price for a limited time only. After production is complete, they will be available at a regular price. As always, appreciate the support and enthusiasm from the community. May 21 Edit: Hey everyone, wanted to have a chance to address some of the questions and concerns I’ve seen in the discussion pages regarding the keycap collection. First, I want to assure everyone that this does not mean we'll stop doing the custom keycap sets. Sets like Laser simply would not exist without these type of offerings. For custom keycap sets, we’ve been running them on a monthly basis and will continue to do so. For those who are looking for a great custom GMK set - we have a couple great ones coming up in June and July. One consistent request we’ve seen for the ALT and CTRL keyboards is additional keycaps. These four sets were designed to showcase the different profiles and designs in the keyboard community and they were designed for various Drop Studio keyboards. We had picked these four sets because they were all recent offerings (at least by keyboard community standards!). Of course, the custom versions of these runs will still return at some point in the future for people that want to pick from all options for these sets. For people who have joined the XDA Canvas pre-order from March, those who have selected both the Alphas and Text Mods kits in their order will receive a $15 refund. Those who have selected the Alphas, Text Mods, and Alphapad kits in their order will receive a $25 refund. Please note that the price from the custom run and this run both reflect their actual costs - custom keycaps usually cost more due to the additional sorting, packaging and processing needed for each of the kits.

YanboWuHello, I'm confused, I would like to know if my math was wrong or am I misunderstood anything? I joined the Canvas round 3, a TKL kit identical to this drop from round 3 cost $38.99+38.99, but if I didn't join the Canvas round 3 and join this one instead, I'll get free color mod keys which it doesn't included in Canvas round 3 and of course an extra few bucks off. So do you recommend us not to join any drop in the future, and just wait for this kind of drop appear so we can get a better deal?

IamconfusedKitting additional kits out does cost more so the last run was reflective of that. However, I also see your point that it is a bit unfair - especially when the last run hasn't been fulfilled yet. I'll check back next week and see what we can do for everyone that participated in the prior run.

IamconfusedThank you for pointing that out, I was absolutely confused and shocked by this drop when I see it goes live. I put good faith into the canvas drop mostly because of its exclusivity. However, new comers can now get a nicely bundled up TKL set without having to deal with unnecessary keys at a lower price seriously discouraged me from joining the future sets. Hopefully Drop (Formally Massdrop) will be able to work something out for us.

YanboWuPlease do. As the other two comments have mentioned this is pretty unfair for those of us who joined Round 3, especially when all we wanted was a basic set. Compared to the alphas, text mods and numpad I got, the difference in price if I were to get the 1800 set (including shipping which is somehow cheaper in this set?) is USD32.79.

YanboWuI'm getting more confused when I just found out this drop is FREE SHIP to US, while the Canvas round 3 charged me $9.99 for shipping. So now the different is NOT just few bucks + FREE color mod keys, actually everyone who supported massdrop and joined the Canvas round 3 is paying at last $14 more+Tax(the more kits you pre-order on round 3, the more you pay.....WOW) This is not making any sense to me...I'm super confused right now Is there anyway I can cancel my round 3 order and just join this one instead?

YanboWuI have to agree with the others who've replied to your comment before this - considering the prices from Round 3, the kits here are better value for those like me who are/were looking to cover standard TKL or 65% layouts. I'm now starting to wonder if you'll pull something similar with SA Laser in a few months' time and make me regret buying some of the kits that I'm budgeting for.

ViciousVerbivoreThis situation will definitely not happen with the Laser SA keycaps.

ExtraCaloriesI feel for you @ExtraCalories , I presume you bought the Alpha set with Text Mod (I personally went for the Beta and Micons which aren't part of this drop). If this is the direction that Drop/Massdrop are going moving forward, they should have this pre-build set upfront for earlier joiners benefit. Otherwise what's the point of being an early adopter knowing in the future that this kind of set might appear.
