The audio on my pc38x is not working
One day I just plugged in my Pc38x and they stopped working. I tested the mic and it works, I've tried changing the cord multiple times and have adjusted the volume disk, none of this has changed my situation. I've tested the headphones on my PC, switch, and PS5 and the audio doesn't work there either.

The Ether C's are just beautiful to look at, Dan is a wizard and glad to see his product here at MD!
Not mocking you, but the way you worded it is HILARIOUS!
Anyway, my wallet is ready but my mind is not. It's $900. NINE HUNDRED DOLLARS...for headphones. It's $100 shy of $1000 for an UNNECESSARY LUXURY. I'm fighting so hard with my mind. This is so against my moral values and sound reasoning. It it a deal? In the grand scheme of things, especially its original price, TOTALLY YES! But still...almost a grand...for headphones that will sound a small percentage better than what I already own!
I'm actually looking at some closed-backs now, as I need some isolation in my life, these would be ridiculously good for all intent and purposes.
What you got rocking at the moment @raansire7?
Right now, I'm rocking the Shure SRH1840, Audio-Technica ATH-M70x, Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO/ DT 880 EDITION (600 ohm)/ T90 CHROME, Panasonic RP-HD10/RP-HTF600-S, Sennheiser HD 58X Jubilee and Senal SMH-1200.
I know you didn't ask, but my overall favorite are the DT 880. To my ears, they have the most holographic sound and dig the deepest detail-wise. Everything sounds distinct in their own layer no matter how busy the tracks get. Their aural image is almost visual and extends way outside my ears and way in front of my face. The T90 have slightly more clarity everywhere and are brighter, but they sound smaller and borderline claustrophobic to me.
The ones I consider most fun for music enjoyment are the HD 58X. While they're not too wide-sounding, they have good depth, and their quick attack makes them snappy-sounding, especially on bass and kicks. They thump harder than the others while remaining clear. So satisfying!
What about you?
Funny you bring up the Beyer's, because I still haven't tasted from the Beyer tree yet! I've been wanting to grab a pair of DT770's for a reference closed back as I've gifted my HD380's to a bro-in-law. From all accounts (including yours) the signature is calling me to give them ago!
As for ATH-M70x, I'm about to acquire a pair of M50x's, a very polarizing can but I'm intrigued!
Others in my sights are, Audioquest NigthOwl, Pioneer Sem 5, Campfire Cascade. I already have the Denon D2000's so I'm not really interested in the Fostex TH series.
My taste in music is varied but most of my music requires the mid's to be present, I'm finding that during the day with kid's and a wife, open headphones just aren't cutting it, if I'm really trying to zone in to a song distractions externally can really kill the mood! One of these days, I'm gonna build me a sound room, just for Pupa! :D
As for Ether CX, these would keep me preoccupied for a long while! Don't think I'd sell them either!

So yeah, I have a weird thing going on with this hobby. I've been fiddling with computer music production for 16 years, so I enjoy making sounds more than listening to music. That's where I splurge good...on synthesizers and various studio equipment. But when I listen to music, it's a big deal for me. I take it serious. I guess I'm just a crazy person.
Cascades and nightowls both have we wanting to own them!
Crazy people are never boring people! :-P
Wiping them with a damp microfiber every once in a while is nice and brings joy, because any skin oil, dust or smudge is gone in the process. I also never blast music loudly through them. So yeah, it's why I buy brand new. I will never know how the previous owner treated their headphones. The possibilities are endless of what pre-owned headphones could say if they could talk. I'd rather pay more and feel assured that they didn't go through any funky business.
Can't say that with other hobby's say - Used video card market with all this mining going on. :D
I too, have gifted quite a few headphones away to loved ones (especially my wife! :D) and in a karmatic way, I've received really nice audio gear for very decent prices from others in this community.
Anyways, back on track. How about these Ether CX's? Anyone jumped on board yet?
